starts virtually in three days. We want to keep some of the spirit of Camp alive, even if we’re all in our own homes. One of our most requested traditions every year is to dance to the Interlude! So why should this year be any different?

We want each staff to make a video of them dancing to the Interlude. Doesn’t need to be long, just try and include everyone and have fun (safely and social distanced of course). Think Tik Tok... we’re hip, we know!

Here’s the video for reference and music: youtu.be/0cuS_31zJ6U Post the video to our page or email us ([email protected]). We’ll show some of them at our general sessions. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

It's safe to say that the end of the last school year caused a lot of stress for many yearbook and newspaper programs. With a new school year fast approaching, and a global pandemic still around, there will be a lot of things you can't control, but giving your publication staff the best possible training is something you can.

Don't let this year get off to an unnecessary rough start. Camp Orlando has been the jump start to the school year that many programs across Florida, and the country, have trusted for 20 years. And we're here for you this year too, just virtually.

Same trusted class structure taught by award winning advisers and industry professionals, just from the comfort and safety of your own home.

Registrations are coming in quickly, but there is still time to attend. Register today!

For 20 years now, each July more than 60 journalism staffs and 400 students and advisers from across the country attend Camp Orlando to get their publications off to the best start ever; and this year will be no different.

Well, maybe a little different. This year, due to COVID-19, we won’t be able to meet in person, so we’re bringing Camp Orlando to your home or classroom, virtually.

But that’s where the changes stop. We will still have award winning journalism advisers and industry professionals teaching unique specialized classes, live with a hands-on approach and in-depth feedback. After three days of instruction, attendees will have honed their skills and become your classroom’s go-to on a specific topic.

Oh, we forgot one other change. The cost is only $75.00 per person (each attendee registers for one class). When you consider the hours of world class instruction and feedback getting you and your students prepared for the start of the school year, Virtual Camp Orlando is an amazing value.
