Thanks to the generosity of our Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA) members and tourism partners, more than 60,700 school supplies, hygiene items, and clothing was donated during our CARES Collection Drive this week to support students in need throughout Central Florida!

This incredible impact will help provide essential resources to our local students and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who donated and supported this meaningful initiative. CFHLA and our members have always and will remain committed to making a positive difference within our community!

The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association is also excited to recognize Julie Schroeder of YES - Your Environment's Solution, Inc. as our October Allied Member of the Month!

Julie’s commitment to CFHLA goes well beyond her membership. From supporting our signature events, to participating in the Patriot Day Adopt-A-Station Program, and serving on the Engineers’ Clay Shoot Fundraising Committee, Julie has consistently found ways to contribute to our association and the broader Central Florida community. This week, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, in partnership with the CFHLA Foundation, awarded a record high $280,650 in student scholarships 🎓 and educational grants, benefiting 65 students and hospitality employees who are continuing their education, as well as 10 local organizations making a difference in our community!

We are also proud to celebrate a significant milestone: Since 2000, the CFHLA Foundation has now awarded more than $1.6 million in student scholarships, investing in the next generation of hospitality leaders!

Thanks to the generosity and continued support of our members and community partners, we are strengthening our community, supporting education, and helping shape the future of Central Florida hospitality. 💙

The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association Foundation is ready to putt for a purpose! ⛳

Join us for the Vacation Ownership Council’s 5th Annual Mini Golf Tournament on Thursday, November 12, from 5:00–8:00 PM at PopStroke Hamlin in Winter Garden.

We’re bringing our hospitality community together for an evening of networking, friendly mini golf competition, and connection. Net proceeds from the fundraiser will support the CFHLA Foundation and the educational initiatives of our Vacation Ownership Council.

Don't forget to join us next Wednesday, October 14th for our next Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association CARES Collection Drive for Students in Need! Together, our hospitality community can make a meaningful impact for local students by providing the everyday essentials they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

From 10 AM–2 PM at Hyatt Regency Orlando, we’ll be collecting school supplies and hygiene essentials for students served by Orange County Public Schools, Osceola County School District, and Seminole County Public Schools. Needed items include notebooks, paper, pencils, markers, water bottles, headphones, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, blankets, dental care items, first aid supplies, and new pants, shoes, socks, and underwear.

The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association was proud to support Valencia College at their Foundation's Red, Black, and Boundless Gala last week.🎓✨

The evening celebrated Valencia College’s incredible 60 years of impact within our region and highlighted the achievements of its students and alumni. With over 200,000 alumni and an annual enrollment of nearly 70,000 students, the college continues to be a driving force for our regional success and helps to build our industry's workforce.

Additionally, for over thirty years CFHLA has partnered with Valencia College and supported the school’s Hospitality and Culinary programs. Thanks to the generosity of our members, we have contributed over $142,100 in gifts and in-kind contributions to the Valencia College Foundation and since 2001, the CFHLA Foundation has also awarded Valencia students over $209,250 in student scholarships. Furthermore, we've distributed $72,100 in scholarships to fully fund twelve employees completing Valencia’s Residential Maintenance or HVAC accelerated training programs.

Congratulations again to Valencia College President Dr. Kathleen Plinske, Dr. Carla McKnight, and Foundation Board Chair Sheri Torres for their leadership, hospitality, and partnership as we continue working together to support the future of hospitality and culinary education in Central Florida!
