Today’s Rotary Club of Lake Nona weekly meeting reflected what makes our club special: leadership, learning, and service. We opened with a reminder to lead with kindness, compassion, and gratitude, and we honored past district governors, Rotary presidents, veterans, and active military members.

President Kristina shared important updates as we prepare for our leadership transition, with the baton passing to Rebecca Baines effective July 1. We also celebrated continued growth, welcomed guests from across our community, and enjoyed “happy dollars” that highlighted why fellowship matters.

On the service front, we discussed our approved global grant with United Abolitionists, progress toward an inclusive playground partnership with the city and Nemours, and the renewed need to honor commitments for our Publix pickup service supporting the VA and Ronald McDonald House.

Bruno and Daisy closed with a timely presentation on practical, pro-human AI for small businesses—using automation to free people for the work only humans can do. Service Above Self starts with showing up and moving forward together.

🇺🇸❤️ Last week our Rotarians had the true privilege of serving alongside Honorable Legacy for Memorial Day by helping place flags throughout our city at memorial sites honoring our fallen soldiers.

There is something incredibly powerful about taking time to pause, remember, and pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.

A heartfelt thank you to Sabinah for extending this meaningful opportunity to our Rotary family. We are deeply grateful for your leadership and for allowing us to be part of something so special.

And thank you to Rose, Marjorie, Sanjay, and your families for representing the Rotary Club of Lake Nona so beautifully. Your willingness to serve and honor those who served reflects the very heart of Rotary and the spirit of “Service Above Self.”
