On Mission! A phrase permeating my thoughts this AM. I woke up an again before 0700. Jet lag ramps up productivity.
From the last meeting in Fiji to our first in Sydney, all were Divinely orchestrated. I’d never met my two Fiji FB friends. Both are LGBT overcomers pursuing identity in Christ. Our mission: fellowshipping, sharing and encouraging. Our Fiji friend invited 4 ministry partners to our lunch. 7 of us ate, testified and planned future missions.
Philip often quotes Hebrews 10:24-25 “…let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” These gatherings were a fulfillment of those verses.
With every appointment, we were “On Mission”; connecting with believers, to share Jesus with non-believers. Practicing the call to gather together. 2 of those gathered had overcome homos*xuality by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. One lady left her LGBT life and now has a ministry to women still living that life. Praise God! We shared our Jesus stories. Tears flowed. Plans were made. Help for the future was offered. They shared their stories and invitations to come again to Fiji. More chances to be On Mission.
Mission 1 in Sydney? Filming and recording 3 episodes for the Love Questions podcast. Those conversations sparked an invitation to a Zoom Small group of overcomers. What a huge blessing! Connecting and encouraging other believers who struggle with s*xual identity as they make efforts to deny themselves daily, to follow the freedom bringing, life giving teachings of Jesus. Being On Mission means being ready to act. Always make plans, but maintain the flexibility when God says “PIVOT! PIVOT!”. Being On Mission, leaving home and comfort behind for a month. Serving God’s purpose. Doing God’s will.

My heart is to continually share my own story of Freedom, in hopes that it reaches the lost. I left my gay life 26 years ago. I continue to run rescue missions back across dividing lines. I know that homos*xuality is not biblical or blessed by God. God provides a way of escape from s*xual sin of all types. For those trapped in the lies of the LGBT deception, believing they are “born that way”, Jesus brings truth and hope. I know I sound like a broken record to some. But to those disillusioned by the gay life and its trappings, my story is like water in the desert. Jesus led me out. I owe Him my life. Change is possible. Redemption is necessary. Jesus be praised! Hope of transformation and renewal awaits!
