Today, our Public Allies Central Florida community remembers one of our own: Ash Connors.

Ash served two consecutive terms with our program, from 2020 to 2022, and left a lasting mark on everyone they encountered. Ash led with grace, patience, and strength — becoming a true source of inspiration for all of us.

We are so grateful for Ash’s service, their wisdom, and their care for others. Their leadership lives on in every life they touched — a true, living example that leadership is an action, one we can all choose to take.

We hold Ash’s family and loved ones close during this time. Thank you Ash for the light you brought to this community — you will be deeply missed. You truly made the world a better place.

🎉 RISE Together - Celebrating our 2025-26 Public Allies Central Florida graduating Class!

This year, our Allies gave 20,859 hours of service to our Central Florida community - a $270,000 return on investment. Since 2010, that total impact has grown to nearly $11 million.

But the numbers only tell part of the story. Servant Leader Award winner Danae Green said it best: “Every little bit counts. Leadership isn’t a title - it’s a choice you make every time you show up for your community.”

This past Friday, our Allies explored the power of inclusion 💙

They heard from guest speaker Omar Bohler, who led an engaging conversation about what it means to be an inclusive leader - both in the workplace and in everyday life.

Afterward, they visited a local nonprofit that offers dance classes for individuals with disabilities, welcoming anyone regardless of ability. Our Allies learned firsthand how spaces can be made and built with inclusion in mind and how to be inclusive when serving their community members as well.

A huge thank you to Omar, Brittany and Victor for sharing your time, wisdom, and passion with our group. Our Allies has such a wonderful time learning from you and deeply appreciate the important work you do.

Fun fact: has hosted an Ally for over 10 years 🎉 Over the past decade, Allies have led community outreach efforts, collaborated with external partners and supported the Bonner Leader Program.

Cold hands, full hearts 💙✨

Our amazing Allies and Alumni braved the chilly morning to give back by beautifying the Rosemont Neighborhood Center in honor of MLK Day 2026. Together, we showed what it means to serve with love, purpose, and community spirit.
