DOT Nigeria 🇳🇬Bible Translation Update! 📖

From June 9th to 20th, 2025, the DOT Nigeria team launched another phase of their Translation Ministry. They made significant progress, completing 14 more chapters of the Bible. During this session, they completed the Book of John and started the Book of Acts of the Apostles.

Presently, the DOT Nigeria team has completed the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and has started the Book of Acts of the Apostles.

Their dedicated team is made up of:

Translators, a Content Reviewer, an Interpreter and a Technician

Presentation of DOT Team Mozambique 🇲🇿

We are pleased to introduce DOT Team Mozambique, a dedicated and dynamic team actively engaged since March 2022. The team is composed of:

- 14 experienced translators
- 2 proficient interpreters
- 2 technical specialists

Achievement
DOT Mozambique has successfully completed the translation of the New testament Book of Matthew to Philemon into the local sign language.

Upcoming Project
The team is preparing to undertake the full translation of the Bible into the local sign language, with work scheduled to resume in June.

We request for your continued support and prayers as DOT Mozambique advances this important work to serve and share God’s word.

DOT Leadership Conference, Togo 🌟

We're still echoing the success of our recent DOT Leadership Conference in Togo, where Leaders from 17 countries gathered with one purpose: to shape a bold and unified future of Deaf-owned translation across the region. 🌍 It was an incredible opportunity for leaders to align their vision, strengthen their strategies, and empower each other.

The conference focused on key areas, including Vision alignment and strategic planning, Advanced Deaf Facilitator training methods, Effective Scripture engagement approaches, Use of external resources, and Renewed commitment and engagement. These conversations weren’t just theoretical, they ignited practical pathways for growth and transformation.

The discussions laid the groundwork for sustainable growth and impact in Deaf communities. A big thank you to our regional leaders, Parfait Ayanou, Denis Ndokuo, and Adamou Yabre, for their exceptional coordination and leadership! 🙏 Their dedication and expertise made this conference a truly unforgettable experience.

Celebrating Impact: Wycliffe Associates Honored by OCDS Cameroon 🎉

Last week, Cameroon Deaf Development Organization (OCDS Cameroon) presented a certificate of recognition to Wycliffe Associates for its impact within the Deaf community in Cameroon.

The ceremony took place at the Yaoundé Deaf Empowerment Center, where Denis Ndokuo, DOT regional coordinator, received the certificate on behalf of Wycliffe Associates.
