The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) and The Jed Foundation - JED are thrilled to announce the intent to merge as equals to form AFSP/JED, the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to preventing su***de across the lifespan and bringing hope to those affected by su***de loss or risk. 👏

By combining AFSP’s national reach and research leadership with JED’s expertise in youth mental health, we’ll be able to save more lives, support more communities, and bring hope to millions across the country.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026 the 4th Florida Construction Hike for Hope will take place in 6 locations across the state including Jacksonville.

Promoting su***de prevention is a critical step to ensuring safety for individuals in the construction industry. We are proud to say that Florida was the first state to bring the Construction Hike for Hope to our communities. Construction leaders throughout Florida stepped up to lead the charge to create a culture that is smart about mental health.

Pride Pathways: Su***de Prevention for LGBTQ+ Communities and Allies is a 90-minute presentation designed to deepen understanding of how su***de impacts the LGBTQ+ community. This program is intended for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies interested in fostering supportive, inclusive, and affirming environments that promote LGBTQ+ mental health.

Participants will be able to:
• Describe how su***de affects the LGBTQ+ community
• Recognize su***de risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs
• Identify how to create protective environments for LGBTQ+ communities at home, school, and work
• Start a conversation with someone they’re concerned about
• Identify LGBTQ+ su***de prevention resources
