Fill out a membership form: https://forms.gle/UJ3TQkkErN9kPXaHA YNPN Orlando was established in 2005 by the Rollins College Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center (now the Edith Bush Institute) as a way to engage young upcoming nonprofit professionals in career development. The seeds for the establishment of YNPN Orlando came from the key note event with Patrick Corvington, program director

of the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Corvington came to Orlando to speak about the “next generation of nonprofit leaders” – this was the first unofficial YNPN Orlando event. Corvington at the time was on the board of directors for YNPN National, which received funding from the Annie E. By November 2005, the first organizational meeting of YNPN Orlando took place with the Philanthropy Center giving support. Virginia Edelstein, Development Manager of United Arts of Central Florida, and Eric Gray, Executive Director of the American Lung Association of Central Florida, were elected the first co-chairpersons for YNPN Orlando for the initial membership of 25 members.

You might of noticed that we've been MIA...

But we've been taking time to reorganize, strategize, and look deep into ourselves in the mirror- self help is for everyone even nonprofit organizations!

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we were focused on ensuring that we were still here for our members and our community, working hard on a board-level to ensure that we had a steady flow of virtual events occurring on a month-to-month basis. But during this whirlwind of getting our grind on (Hustle culture got the best of us), we never gave ourselves a real moment to sit down and reflect on who we are as a nonprofit organization in our community- and what our true purpose was. And THAT is what we have been up to during the last few months of 2022. When YNPN was founded, our goal was to be a trustable and reliable resource for our young nonprofit professionals in the community; providing services and information that were truly beneficial for our members- and we want to start fresh and realign with that founding intention.

Which is where you come in.

How can YNPN be a truly useful resource to you? What types of services and programming would really help you to become more knowledgable in your field? What types of events would you immediately add to your calendar because you just have to be there?

Thankfully, Google has made it super easy for us to hear from you... AND you can do so anonymously if you'd like! Complete this form and let us know more about YOU and what YOU want from YNPN, because at the end of the day, we are here for you.

Take just 3 minutes to complete this simple Google form below and let us know what YOU want to get out of YNPN👇

We're excited to announce that a YNPN Orlando is making some changes to its Board and Member experience... and we want YOUR input so we know how we can make YNPN effective, diverse, and purposeful to YOU and our nonprofit community.

“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”

- Martin Luther King Jr.

Our work for social good comes from our hearts- and love for the betterment of our community is at the core of all we do.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day and each day, let us come back to these words and continue to work for social good ♥️
