Join us on November 13th in Steinmetz Hall for an evening where choral music moves! 🕺💃🏻🕺💃🏻

Harmonia and Apollo open the program with music inspired by dance traditions from cultures around the world, exploring the rhythm, movement, and energy that connect music and dance across cultures.

Then the Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus and conductor Andrew Minear take us to Argentina for Martín Palmeri’s Misa a Buenos Aires (Misatango), a thrilling setting of the Latin Mass that brings together chorus, mezzo-soprano soloist, bandoneón, piano, and strings with the unmistakable passion and pulse of tango. Featuring special guests and a few surprises along the way, ¡Baila y Canta! is an evening of music, movement, color, and joy—from the first beat to the final celebration.

Featuring:
Apollo | Harmonia | Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus | Solaria Players | Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists

Guest Artists:
Emmanuel Trifilio, bandoneon

The Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists All-State Camp was a wonderful experience and a great success.

With extra focused instruction and dedicated practice, each student made noticeable individual progress. Their musical abilities, confidence, and overall performance skills grew throughout the camp.

We are so proud of the effort each student put in and the growth they achieved. We wish them well on their upcoming All-State Test #2! 👏👏👏

History was made tonight at the first-ever rehearsal of the Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists! Young singers from all over Central Florida came together to kick off what is going to be an incredible inaugural season.

When asked why they decided to audition, here is what a few of our singers had to say:

🎶 “I was looking for an opportunity to grow my skills even more so that I can be better in my choral program at my school."

🎶 “I want to pursue music as a career and wanted to gain more experience."

🎶 “I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and sing among other students that I don't know from around the community."

Do these quotes resonate with you or another youth singer that you may know? We are holding weekly rolling auditions and looking for dedicated singers ready to take their talent to the next level, perform on premier stages, and join a supportive community.

Don't miss out on this amazing new opportunity in Central Florida—visit www.orlandosings.org/youth-choral-artists to reserve your audition spot!

Audition for the inaugural season of Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists!

Auditions are open to motivated singers in grades 6–12 and will be held:
Thursday, September 3 | 6:00–8:00 p.m.
All Saints Episcopal Church
338 E. Lyman Avenue, Winter Park

OSYCA includes two distinct, equally advanced ensembles:
Lux | Mixed Choir (SATB)
Aurora | Treble Choir (SSAA)

Both choirs are held to the same high standards of artistry, musical rigor, and excellence. Sopranos, altos, and unchanged voices will be placed in Lux or Aurora based on their auditions and the musical needs of each ensemble, creating two balanced choirs of outstanding young musicians. Tenors and basses will sing in Lux.
Singers in grades 10–12 may also interview for the OSYCA Mentorship Program following their vocal audition.

Come prepared for vocalises, interval echoes, a short sight-reading excerpt, and 30 seconds of any melody you enjoy singing—no formal solo preparation required.

Singers who register for the season at auditions will receive $20 off the registration fee.

Come sing with us and be part of OSYCA’s inaugural season!

Meet the conductors of Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists!

We are thrilled to welcome Brianna Martin and Alex Pollard to lead the inaugural season of OSYCA—bringing exceptional artistry, extensive experience with young musicians, and a genuine love for helping singers grow.

Brianna Martin is the choral director at Timber Springs Middle School. Under her leadership, the advanced treble choir Solare performed at the 2025 Florida ACDA Fall Conference and was named a 2026 Bach Choir of Distinction. A former youth choir singer herself, Brianna also performs with the Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus and Harmonia.

Alex Pollard is Director of Choral Activities at Boone High School, where his ensembles consistently earn Superior ratings and have received featured performance invitations from Florida ACDA. He is also a music director at the Dr. Phillips Center, creator and host of the Choirwire Podcast, and an accomplished professional singer. A member of Orlando Sings since our inaugural season, Alex has performed with the Symphonic Chorus and Solaria Singers, as well as the Voices of Liberty at EPCOT.

Together, Brianna and Alex will create an inspiring place for young singers to strengthen their voices, deepen their musicianship, form meaningful friendships, and experience the joy of creating music at a high level.

Auditions are next Thursday, September 3! We can’t wait to meet the young artists who will make history as the inaugural members of OSYCA.

Open to singers in grades 6–12. Learn more and register at orlandosings.org.
