What an unforgettable evening at the 22nd Annual Black History Scholarship Awards and Juneteenth Celebration Gala!
Because of the unwavering generosity of our sponsors, donors, community partners, and supporters, the Black History Committee of Orange County, Inc. proudly awarded $20,000 in scholarships and $2,500 in book scholarships to deserving African American and Black students who recently graduated from Orange County Public High Schools.
Each scholarship represents more than financial assistance-it represents hope. It represents opportunity. It represents a community that believes in its young people and is committed to ensuring they have the resources to pursue their dreams.
Last month, as we celebrated Juneteenth and honored the scarifies of those who came before us, we were reminded that every generation has a responsibility to open doors for the next. Watching these remarkable students walk across the stage was a powerful reminder that our ancestors' dreams continue to live on through the achievements of our youth.
