One More Week Until the Light Orlando Community Clothing Closet Clean Out Sorting Event- Here’s what you need to know! ⬇️

We are still collecting donations through April 25th (Event Day!)
Looking for:
👕Gently Used Clothing – including business professional and business casual clothing!
👟Gently Used Shoes
🛁New, Unopened Deodorant- Even one stick makes a difference!

✨Early Drop-Off’s are encouraged: Make every effort to take your donations to a public drop-off site by April 24, 2025
✨Any Donations saved for the 25th should be dropped off at the project site early in the morning!

Light Orlando is Collecting Gently Used Clothing Donations NOW through April 25th for our Light Orlando Annual Spring Community Clothing Closet Clean-out event!

We are currently accepting:
👖Gently used clothing (shirts, pants, shorts, business casual items, and more!)
👟Shoes in good condition (including business casual shoes so those who receive can look SHARP for upcoming job interviews!
✨Please note: All donated items should be clean and in wearable condition ☺️

On March 4th, we gathered at the Lakeshore Center in Ocoee with nonprofit leaders, church partners, and community organizations from across Central Florida for an inspiring afternoon of connection and collaboration.

This session featured Ocoee High School’s 3DE seniors, who spent the school year working alongside local leaders to tackle real challenges in volunteer recruitment and retention.

Seven student teams presented innovative, practical ideas and then took time to answer questions and engage directly with attendees.

Safe to say, every leader in the room walked away inspired!

The Light Orlando Community Closet Clothing Clean Out is coming up, and we need volunteers to help sort, organize, and distribute thousands of clothing donations to local charities across Central Florida.

Last year alone, 56,000+ items were sorted and shared with organizations serving individuals and families in need. This year, we’re aiming to make an even greater impact.

Whether you can lend a few hours or bring a group, your time will help provide something many take for granted: clean, dignified clothing.
