District 5 sidewalks now double as classrooms!

At the Callahan Neighborhood Center, Orlando City Soccer Club, Orlando Pride, and Heart of Florida United Way came together to paint and install a Born Learning Trail: ten stops of play and learning made just for our littlest neighbors.

This is what investing in our kids looks like, right here in the neighborhood. A walk to the park is now a chance for our boys and girls to count, sing, stretch, and grow.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up and got their hands dirty. This is a hand up for our families, and I couldn’t be prouder to see it in District 5.

It’s day two of the Downtown Employee Appreciation Week and we’re just getting started! 🌭🎉

I grabbed some hot dogs and nachos at the Kia Center and got to hangout with Kingston, Purrcy, Lil’ Squeezy, and Knightro, Orlando’s own hometown mascots showing some love to our downtown workforce.

I also talked to Jill Vaughan, President & CEO of the Downtown Orlando Partnership, who gave us a recap on everything that’s still to come: coffee mixers, a sub social, and even a happy hour!

Downtown Orlando, this is your week. Check out what’s planned for the rest of it and don’t miss out!

Registering young voters with the League of Women Voters of Orange County, Florida at Jones High School - OCPS is a tradition, and the kind of work that makes today, National Voter Registration Day, mean something 💙

I’m so grateful for the League’s work getting young people ready before they even turn eighteen. That’s how you build voters for life, not just for one election!

To every student getting close to eighteen: your name on that voter roll is your seat at the table. Get registered, and show up for your community 👉🏽 registertovoteflorida.gov

What a week! We wrapped up Downtown Employee Appreciation Week the best way we know how: saying thank you to the people who make downtown Orlando run.

For our final event, huge thanks to Orange County Library System (FL) for opening their doors and hosting us. Thank you to Downtown Orlando Partnership for helping pull this whole week together. And thank you to the CRA Downtown Development Board for standing behind our employees all week long.

Our downtown employees show up every single day to keep this city moving. This week was our small way of saying we see you, we appreciate you, and Orlando is better because of you ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to downtown Orlando today and turned a Saturday into a dancing celebration!

Getting to 💃🏾🕺🏽 with neighbors, friends, and families at À La Cart Orlando was such a reminder of what makes this city beautiful, and I want to thank Fierce Fitness Ty for bringing the energy, the vibe, the music, and the community together!

Happy National Dance Day, Orlando!

Downtown Orlando showed up big this morning for the start of Employee Appreciation Week!

From coffee and cookies at City Hall to food trucks for the whole team, this week is all about saying thank you to the people who keep our downtown running every single day. And we're just getting started!

Live music, lunch giveaways, and even a happy hour are coming this week, so if you work downtown, step on out and join the fun.

Thank you to the Downtown Orlando Partnership and the Downtown Development Board for making this happen. Stay tuned, District 5, there's more to come!
