This past week, Hope for a Healthier Life hosted its Free Thanksgiving Dinner, and what a beautiful success it was! Together, we served delicious meals to 139 people, created a space of connection, and brought smiles to so many faces in our community.

Beyond the food and fellowship, this event was about more than just physical nourishment. It was a reminder of the profound impact mental health has on our overall well-being. During the holiday season, feelings of loneliness, stress, and anxiety can weigh heavily on individuals and families. Through this event, we aimed to provide not just a meal but also a sense of belonging, support, and hope for those who may be struggling.

We’re incredibly grateful to all the volunteers, sponsors, and donors who made this event possible. Your generosity helped us spread warmth, love, and kindness reminding everyone that they are not alone.

As we move forward, Hope for a Healthier Life remains committed to addressing the intersection of mental health and community care. Together, we can create a healthier, more compassionate world.

The statistics are alarming. According to the CDC, su***de rates in the United States tend to spike during the holiday season, particularly among individuals who face the holidays alone. A recent report by the National Alliance on Mental
Illness (NAMI) found that feelings of loneliness during this time increase by over 55% in adults and contribute to mental health declines.
The emotional burden of being alone during the holidays can manifest in depression, anxiety, and feelings of worthlessness.
This is why events like ours matter so deeply. Tonight, we gather not just for a meal, but to create a space of belonging, community, and hope for those who may not otherwise have the warmth of family to celebrate with.
We hope this evening serves as a reminder that no one is truly alone. Together, we can build healthier lives and stronger communities. COME CELEBRATE WITH HOPE FOR A HEALTHIER LIFE!

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your incredible support and participation in our 1st Annual Back to School Health Fair. Your contributions were instrumental in making the event a success, allowing us to serve our community and ensure that families are well-prepared for the new school year.

Your generosity and commitment to the health and well-being of our children did not go unnoticed. Thanks to your partnership, we were able to provide valuable resources, services, and information to those who needed it most.

We were thrilled to welcome 419 attendees at our Back to School Health Fair. During the event, we distributed 237 backpacks, conducted 90 physical exams for children, provided 45 hair styling services, and completed 19 haircuts for boys.

These numbers reflect the meaningful impact we were able to make, thanks to your generous support.

& Relieve - Pain and Spine Center.

HOPE FOR A HEALTHIER LIFE is a medical non-profit organization committed to enhancing the
health and well-being of our community.

BETHESDA HEALTH REJUVENATION is committed to helping the community, especially the ones
without health insurance.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Back to School Health Fair, scheduled to take place
on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Bethesda Health & Rejuvenation Center, located at 8010 Sunport Dr. STE 116, Orlando, FL 32809.
This event aims to support families as they prepare for the new school year and promote vital health awareness and services within our community to children and adults.

Our Back to School/Health Fair is designed to provide essential health screenings, educational resources, and
school supplies to children and families in need. We will offer free testing for blood sugar, HIV, and blood pressure, as well as educational sessions on early detection on certain, smoking cessation, and the importance of healthcare enrollment. Additionally, we will distribute school
supplies to ensure that every child has the tools they need for a successful academic year and FREE SCHOOL PHYSICAL FOR CHILDREN!

We are seeking your support in various ways: you can volunteer, become a sponsor, serve as a provider, nurse, hair stylist, barbers or participate as a vendor. You can also forward the flyer to people in your community.

Please note that this is an outdoor event. Vendors are required to bring a tent, but tables and chairs will be provided. Your donations will be used to purchase backpacks or school supplies for the children.
