Herut of Florida #ZionUnite

Herut of Florida #ZionUnite Herut is a pro-Israel movement that stands for Jewish sovereignty in all the Land of Israel. We do everything from Z to A: from Zionism to Aliyah. Zion Unite!

Herut North America is a Zionist movement that stands for Jewish sovereignty in all of the Land of Israel, Democratic social justice, and Jewish-Zionist education for our youth. We embrace the diverse cultural backgrounds and religious affiliations of all Jewish people and commit to working together, unified as one people, for Jewish sovereignty in all of the Jewish homeland, and against all who d

eny Israel's right to exist. In this vein, Herut North America's important activities involves assisting Jews of all backgrounds and origins in their journey to make Aliyah and integrate into Israeli society. Be it navigating through the absorption process, writing Hebrew resumes, accompanying them to government offices, or informing them of immigrant entitlements (higher education, Hebrew language programs, army service, and medical plans), Herut is here to provide them with the skills needed to adjust from a life in Galut (exile) to renewal in their homeland. Herut believes that in order to strengthen the Jewish State, we must reunite the people of Israel within their homeland in order to ensure our nation’s continued security at home and abroad. With these values in mind, Herut North America's focus on impacting decision-making in the World Zionist Congress as an influential movement, is an investment in Israel's future and in our quest to guarantee the continued strength and success of the Jewish nation in truly being a light unto the nations.

Jewish leadership is not about titles—it’s about showing up.

Showing up for the Jewish people.
Showing up for our future.
Showing up for Israel.

As we welcome Shabbat, may we find strength in our heritage, unity in our community, and purpose in our commitment to the Jewish future.

Shabbat Shalom. 🇮🇱✨

Shabbat Shalom

As we welcome the peace and holiness of Shabbat, we pause to express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who stand watch over the people of Israel.

This week reminded us once again that the strength of Am Yisrael rests not only in our faith and resilience, but also in the courage of those who defend our homeland and protect Jewish lives every day.

May this Shabbat bring comfort to families, healing to the wounded, strength to our soldiers, and peace to the entire people of Israel. May we continue to stand united, proud of our heritage, unwavering in our support for the Jewish state, and hopeful for brighter days ahead.

Shabbat Shalom and Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱

The Real War Isn’t About Israel. It’s About Reality.

Much has been written about “narrative warfare”—the idea that modern conflicts are fought not only on battlefields, but through stories, images, headlines, hashtags, and public perception.

But we are facing something even more dangerous.

This is no longer a war of narratives.

It is a war on reality itself.

Shabbat Shalom.

For thousands of years, the Jewish people have faced every challenge imaginable—exile, persecution, discrimination, and war. Yet we are still here. Not because history was easy, but because our spirit was stronger.

Being Jewish has never been about taking the easy path. It has always been about resilience, family, faith, community, and an unwavering commitment to our identity and values.

This Shabbat, take pride in who you are and in the generations who came before us. Their strength lives on through us.

Tough Jews Live Longer.

Shabbat Shalom from all of us at Herut North America.

Sabbaba…………….(which means Awesome!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A small business doesn't earn 185-star Google reviews by being just another eatery. Joel and Rachel Kirshblum, owners of Sabbaba Market & Catering in Altamonte Springs, earned those reviews by bringing a unique culinary gem to Central Florida.
“When we started in May 2024, we opened as a Makolet, )a small international grocery market”, Joel says. “But we have evolved into so much more. Today, we are a culinary fusion of a New York-style delicatessen and a Mediterranean cafe”.
Over the past two years, many customers requested that Sabbaba expand into meat catering. In response, the Kirshblums recently transitioned their commercial kitchen from a dairy venue to a strictly meat operation. Sabbaba now serves hot pastrami on rye, corned beef, braised brisket, and freshly sliced turkey alongside authentic Israeli shawarma and falafels made from Rachel's family recipe. The establishment continues to offer the wide selection of vegetarian salads and dishes that customers have come to love.
Sabbaba also continues to provide dairy catering for bris celebrations, B'nai Mitzvahs, shivas, and other occasions, all prepared at an off-site location.
Rachel, who was born and raised in Netanya, Israel, is trained in Mediterranean artisanal cuisine. The market at Sabbaba features a carefully curated selection of imported goods inspired by her childhood. Filling the shelves are Mediterranean spices, sweets such as baklava and halva, fresh pita bread, wines, and specialty products not easily found elsewhere in Orlando. Sabbaba's babkas, rugelach, and challahs are also baked fresh in-house.
The Kirshblums lived in Miami for more than 20 years while raising their three sons, Dani and Yoni, who are twins, and Benji, before moving to Orlando. Today, Joel and Rachel are proud grandparents to Esti, 10 years old, who attends Gottlieb Jewish Academy.
“We love Orlando and everything it has to offer, and we love all of our customers” Rachel says. “They bring us joy, and we love feeding people and making them feel at home”.
Sabbaba is certified kosher by the Greater Orlando Board of Rabbis (GOBOR), providing kosher food for travelers, tourists, and local residents alike. It has become a happy place for anyone who enjoys exceptional food served in a warm, inviting atmosphere with a relaxed vibe.
