After years of infertility and loss, God has been writing a beautiful story of redemption in Aly + CJ Markell’s family — one that led them to adoption. They’ve already welcomed three incredible kids from foster care, and now God has opened another door: a 6-month-old baby boy with major medical needs who needs a forever home.

Because of Aly’s background in gastroenterology and colorectal surgery, she is uniquely equipped to care for him — and his biological family lives just 20 minutes away, allowing him to grow up connected to his story.
This adoption, however, is private and comes with significant financial cost. They are stepping out in faith to raise $15,000 to bring him home.

We’re raising $1,500 to help a wonderful family get everything they need for summer—clothes, diapers, a new stroller, and more as they continue to care for and love the children in their home.

Their family has five kids full-time and sometimes up to ten when their extended foster family visits. They recently received the incredible news that they’ll be adopting one of their foster babies, and they remain deeply involved in supporting another set of siblings who have been reunified with their mom.
