Fresh Start Fridays 🧡

A time where community is not only those we serve but those we serve beside each week. We have a team that truly loves to be part of helping us help others!

Each Friday, we are blessed to be able to provide a delicious hot meal, nourishment from our food pantry, and even free haircuts.

Join us this Friday at 10:15 am for another Fresh Start Friday where every day is a new day to change a life.

Sometimes shining your light looks like standing behind a stove.
Sometimes it looks like pouring coffee.
Carrying a tray. Packing a grocery bag. Making room at a table. Offering a smile. Sitting with someone. Serving the person right in front of you.

This is Fresh Start Friday.

Food was prepared. Plates were filled. Groceries were packed. Tables were full. But more than that, people were seen, welcomed, and served.

Jesus made it beautifully simple: when we serve the one, we serve Him.

To every person who showed up, cooked, carried, packed, poured, cleaned, welcomed, prayed, and gave — your light shines, and it makes an impact.

And we need more hands. 🤝

If you’ve been looking for a place to serve, come serve with us at Heart 4 Homeless.

We need volunteers willing to help prepare and serve meals, pour coffee, welcome guests, pack and distribute groceries, help with setup and cleanup, and simply be present with kindness and compassion.

You don’t need a title.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a willing heart and a willingness to serve the person in front of you.

One meal.
One bag.
One conversation.
One person at a time.

🧡 Life Change Looks Like This.
When Heather came to us in December, she was coming off the streets of OBT.

She simply started serving. Wherever there was a need, she said yes.

This week, after training with Brandon, Heather stepped up to lead our Wednesday kitchen after we unexpectedly lost two cooks.

Alongside an incredible support team, she absolutely rocked it—serving every meal with excellence and love.

We don’t just serve meals. We believe every day is a new day to change a life. We believe Jesus changes lives, and that serving has a way of restoring dignity, building confidence, and reminding people they have purpose.

Heather, we’re so proud of you.

What a Friday! 125 guests for breakfast, 130 in our pantry, and many from the community ended up helping us serve their community!

We are thankful any time those we serve decide to step up and serve over receiving. It shows that we truly are building a culture of caring for one another 🫶

Mission Opportunity: Cooks Needed🧑‍🍳

Our team truly loves preparing meals for the community. Not only do we love OBT, but we love each other too! We are currently looking for cooks to join the family on Wednesdays and Fridays.

📍 Location: 1025 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 33805

📆 Shifts Needed:
• Wednesday: 2:00pm–6:30pm
• Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm

Duties include: Meal prep, portioning, and kitchen clean-up. If you love to cook and have restaurant experience, we’d love to chat!

Last Friday, 98 people gathered around the table for breakfast, and 128 people received groceries through our pantry.

But Fresh Start Friday has never been only about the numbers.

It’s about the person sitting across the table who needs to know their life can change.

It’s about a hot breakfast served with dignity, groceries carried home, volunteers who choose to show up and serve, and a room full of people reminded that their story isn’t over.

This week, testimony was shared from the front, and we watched as eyes were opened to hope—the hope that God still restores lives. What He has done for one, He can do for another. ❤️‍🔥

From the kitchen to the café, from the pantry line to conversations across the table, our team served with love and purpose.

98 breakfasts.
128 through the pantry.
Countless unexpected precious moments.
