In loving memory of Brooke Delisa Jenkins. (Dec 26,1988-Dec 19,2019) Brooke Jenkins believe that every youth had to power to be great. Her commitment, dedication and heart for youth and young adults was expressed in her desire to see her generation prosper. She created a legacy for young entrepreneurs to aspire. While she achieved so many goals in her life, some of her greatest accomplishments were starting her own businesses from the ground up, always reminding us that there is no dream that is too big to believe for. The Brooke Jenkins Dream 360 Center will be a true impact for generations to come.
The youth that we serve are at-risk due to many circumstances that plague our inner-city communities. Some of the opportunities that are offered at their schools may not suite the desire that these children may have. Some may lack the social skills and drive required to get connected and stay connected. Some are afraid to believe in themselves due to traumatic events that have occurred in their lives. We will cater to the children who lack stability, to the children who live in single parent homes or whose parents work to often to unable to give them additional time. According to an article โโฆ low educational achievement leads to lowered economic prospects later in life, perpetuating a lack of social mobility across generations. It is also a loss to society when childrenโs talents can go fallow for lack of enough support. The undeniable relationship between economic inequalities and education inequalities represents a societal failure that betrays the ideal of the American dream.โ There is a gap that needs to be filled and The Brooke Jenkins Dream 360 Center is on a mission to do so.
At the Brooke Jenkins Dream 360 Center, we will help to change that narrative, by impacting and supporting our youth. We will also be a pillar of support to their families and our community.
