No hay avance si no hay muerte de carne.

La carne no se hizo para complacerla, sino para crucificarla.

Esto no nos gusta escucharlo, pero es tan importante.
Debemos rendir a los pies de Cristo todo lo que impide que hagamos su voluntad y que no sea de su agrado.

Jesus fue el modelo perfecto a seguir. Imitemos a Jesus y sigamos sus pasos.

Filipenses 3:8

“Así es, todo lo demás no vale nada cuando se le compara con el infinito valor de conocer a Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por amor a él, he desechado todo lo demás y lo considero basura a fin de ganar a Cristo”

Gálatas 2:20

“Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado, y ya no vivo yo, mas vive Cristo en mí; y lo que ahora vivo en la carne, lo vivo en la fe del Hijo de Dios, el cual me amó y se entregó a sí mismo por mí.”

¿Qué cosa debo de rendir al Señor para poder avanzar?

Puede ser enojo, rencor, avaricia, chisme, lujuria, etc

Sea lo que sea, el Señor es misericordioso y compasivo y es de su agrado cuando vamos a Él con corazones humildes y contritos.

Galatians 5:13-15📖👓

As Christians we are not to satisfy the desires of our flesh, but to walk by the Spirit.

To give you a clearer picture, here are the fruits of the flesh vs. fruit of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:18-23

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

If any of these texts stood out to you, or if you felt convicted, do not be ashamed, be honest with God, repent and turn to God for He is rich in mercy and forgiveness. He loves you and will never abandon you.

Blessed be God and Christ Jesus our Lord for His endless and vast grace!

2 Peter 5-8

“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.“

Are you letting the Holy Spirit guide you this week?

Paul stated in Galatians 5:16-18:

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

And in the book of 1 john 2:15-17 says:

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”

Let us stay firm in the faith and follow Christ’s teachings so that we can abide in Him and produce good fruit!
