A Word on Fire Safety at Earthfest2022 Central Floridas Largest Family Art & Music Festival | Maddox Ranch Lakeland, FL.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 attention fire spinners🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hi everyone, for those that don't know me I will be supervising fire safety for the event this weekend. And look forward to spinning and having a great weekend with everyone.

To make sure we have a safe time I only ask of the following

* Everyone that would like to spin this weekend/ or is performing for a dj please make sure you have a fire safety at all times. No exceptions. If you need one. I'll have someone or myself safety for you. Also there will be people that I'm not aware of that will be performing this weekend. Please come find me so we can familiarize ourselves with each other. I'll be handing out squeakers to all the people performing this weekend. If you didn't get a squeaker from me. Please come find me I want you to perform and have a good time. This is just to make sure I get to meet everyone.

* Absolutely no synthetic clothing period!. Only cotton or kevlar clothing will be worn. If anyone in my crew or safeties see this you will be asked to change into fire safe clothing. If you do not want to comply with this you will not be able to perform

*This year there will be an open fire circle for everyone that is not performing to have a great time as well. No renegade burns on the property. This is how accidents happen. If you see anyone try to please point them in the direction of the fire circle.

*In the open fire circle you will also need a fire safety with a blanket. If you don't have a kevlar blanket a towel will also work. And can be provided in the circle. If you have any questions on putting props out or how to properly safety a performer Don't hesitate to ask. My goal is to make sure we have the best time in the safest way possible.

*If ever need be. (Witch I'm hoping doesn't have to happen) Do not use a fire extinguisher on people. Only structures. This can cause breathing problems and can require medical attention.

*Fuel Depot. There will be one. And we will use it. To many times I've seen people light up next to their fueling station. This is to create a safe environment for all of our fuel.

*Prop maintenance. Please make sure all your props are in good enough condition to spin check all connections and links. We don't want a prop malfunctioning in the middle of a set sending fire we're it doesn't belong.

* Spin your props off ! I've seen bad fuel transfers in the past so let's try and prevent this.

* Make sure your fuel container is safe and has a lid. No glass jars for fuel. If you dont have anything ask me and I'll get you something to fuel your props in.

*And please! If you happen to be participating in extra curricular activities. Like drinking etc. Keep it to a minimum if you want to spin. If you can barley stand you will be asked to sit out for a little while. This is only to keep you and others safe. As we all have to look out for each other 😊.

*Also if you plan on breathing fire this weekend. Come see me so we can go over safety stuff together

*If anyone feels like I washed over anything else feel free to say something. We are a community. And I'm all ears to suggestions for a safe experience.

*Final thing is. Let's have fun. In the safest way possible.
Me expressing any of this is not me being on a high horse or thinking I'm better than anyone. I was brought out to make sure we stay safe. And will need all the help doing so. In my 10+ years I've seen things go bad really fast. Remember we play with fire. Things can go wrong

I look forward to meeting everyone. Familiar and new. There will be others on the property as well that will be helping with fire safety and performances. So don't be shy to come say hi and meet everyone. Also when the music finally kind of stops all of us burners will be at the fire circle burning down for the rest of the night so come join us and have some fun.
