Stella is a velco girl who loves to follow you around, cuddle, is potty trained & crate trained. She is high energy & requires daily exercise like all bull terriers do to burn her energy off. Stella has been professionally trained & can’t wait to show off everything she has learned! She does not like other dogs or cats so she must be only pet in the home. When not sunbathing she is a smart active girl who absolutely she LOVES agility! She is doing great in her foster home & is ready for her FUREVER! 🐾🩷 Please help us welcome Ella to rescue! This beautiful girl is 3 years old, 37 lbs & has been friendly towards other dogs but not towards cats. She came from a local Florida shelter & is your typical spunky young bouncy bull terrier! We have gotten her spayed, bloodwork was healthy (heartworm negative🎉) & she is being treated for ear infections. Stay tuned for more on Ella who will be heading to her foster-to-adopt home the end of this week! 🩷🐾

🐾💙Please help us welcome Bumble to rescue! A long awaited rescue 🎉🎉 On April 10th we were notified of a Bull Terrier and numerous other animals in need in the Florida Panhandle that were under investigation with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s office. We continued to work on this bull terrier, kept checking in & never gave up on him. There were numerous court hearings and through a legal team we were awarded custody ownership of the bull Terrier, Bumble. We are so relieved to finally welcome him into our rescue program after all of these months of living in a crate while under investigation. Thank you to Karrie and Mike for going to get him out of doggie jail and into their loving arms! He is 34 lbs & has been super sweet! Stay tuned as we allow him some decompression time at his foster home then to the vet for a medical work up. We are so elated to get to spoil him & show him the love he deserves then eventually he will be available for adoption! Stay tuned for more on Bumble! 💙🐾

🐾🪽🌈 We are devastated to announce the passing of another wonderful BTRCF alumni dog Bella. Bella was adopted several years ago into an incredibly loving family who truly cherished her. She was the queen of their castle. Many of you may have had the joy of meeting her & them at our Bully Walk earlier this year. Bella’s passing was sudden & from cancer. Our hearts are broken for her family. Join us as we extend our deepest sympathies to them. Rest easy sweet Bella. You will live forever in your parent’s hearts. 🪽🌈🐾

🐾🧡 Please help us welcome Bubba to rescue! This kiddo is 4 years old, 44 lbs & comes to us from a loving owner who had a change in family circumstances forcing him to move. Bubba has lived with other bull terriers & was evaluated by Diversity K9 and proves to have a nice disposition. He is crate trained, potty trained & will be neutered soon by us. 🌴💗🐾 WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO ADOPT A DOG, GIVE IT A CHANCE: When you adopt a dog consider all it has been through before coming to your home & give it time to acclimate. Rescuing a dog is a wonderful lasting commitment & likely will be one of the best decisions of your life! We ask that you think about what all your new companion has been through before coming to you & don’t make a snap judgement on their temperament based on their 1st or even 2nd night with you. Expecting them to be perfect right away is unreasonable & unfair. Most rescue dogs are in a dog rescue because their first set of humans failed them. They have gone from the only home they have likely known for years to a scary, loud, stressful, traumatic shelter or to a rescue into a temporary foster home. The comfort of their home, people, fur-siblings & routine has all been changed in an instant & they don’t understand why. Their world has been completely turned upside-down, usually due to no fault of their own, they don’t know why but are forced to put on a brave face & deal with it the best they can. We comfort them as much as we can while they are in foster care with us but the process can still be stressful causing dogs to feel unsettled & anxious. It is the happiest day of their lives when they are adopted by you but they don’t understand right away that you are their FURever home. They often times come to you feeling confused & insecure because of all they have been through since being dumped by their original owners. GIVE THEM A CHANCE! Give them time to get to know you, give them time to get to know your home, give them time to learn to navigate their new surroundings. Give them time to decompress, give them a quiet place like a crate they can go to feel safe, give them several weeks before slowly introducing them to other pets. (With more help on introduction, check out our introductions tab on our website.) Give them time to learn your schedule, give them time to adjust to a new routine, potty schedule, new food & a new lifestyle. If you want your adoption to succeed be mindful of what your new best friend has been through. Give them love, give them time & most importantly GIVE THEM PATIENCE! 🐾💗🌴

🐾🩷 Sweet little Jenny is headed in for her spay today so we ask for prayers & well wishes for a smooth procedure & easy recovery! She has been a total sweetheart in her foster home ⭐️ THANK YOU ⭐️ to Nick & Markie for giving her a quiet home to recover in & for getting her to the vet! Also 🩷SHOUT OUT🩷 to Dr. Aher (fellow Bull Terrier owner) at St Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic for giving her extra TLC! Jenny is just under 1 year old, 38 lbs, spunky, loves other dogs as well as everyone she meets! We have chosen a very special home for Jenny so stay tuned as she heads there once she is healed from her spay & ready for her next adventure! 🩷🐾
