In partnership with the CCIE Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships and the Parramore Community Engagement Council, with funding from JP Morgan Chase, the Center for Social and Civic Prosperity at UCF is announcing the launch of the University-Community Fellows Program.

What it is: A fellowship pairing university researchers with Parramore community leaders to support collaborative research. Each fellow receives $10,000.

Who can apply:
* A faculty of any rank and discipline
* PhD Students (with supervising professor endorsement)
* University Researchers (Post-docs, staff, etc.)
* Community members who are engaged with the Parramore Community Engagement Council (PCEC).
* Applications must be submitted as a two-person university community team (Once expressing interest, there will be a meet and greet on May 27th from 6-8pm in which people from the community will meet with researchers from the university to establish a partnership)

Key dates:
* Fellowship period: August 2026-July 2027
* The deadline to express interest is TODAY April 30, 2026.
* Required training: offered in-person and virtually in June (open to all, regardless of fellowship intent)

Come on out!

The College Fest 2026 is taking place on Thursday, April 16 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Valencia College West campus on the SSB patio (1800 S. Kirkman Road). There will be a total of 26 universities in attendance. All the schools are from Florida with the addition of SCAD from Savannah, Georgia. The event is open to all Valencia students, high school students, parents, and community members. This FREE event is a wonderful opportunity to meet with college representatives, ask questions about programs & admissions requirements, and explore next steps.
