🌟 Transformation Tuesday 🌟

Two years ago, Rahima’s journey began with us when she was just 8 years old, orphaned, malnourished, and under the care of her elderly grandparents. Lacking access to education and clean water, her future seemed uncertain.

What a difference two years can make! Through daily nutritious meals, clean water, dedicated teachers, regular medical care, and food support to her family, Rahima now radiates energy and happiness. She’s thriving in school and has her sights set on becoming a doctor to serve her community. Her journey is a testament to the power of love, support, and opportunity.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to those generous individuals that reached out and sent donations to try to help bridge this critical funding gap we are experiencing and provided food for the orphaned girls in our care! These talent shows are not just about entertainment; they are about building confidence, poise, and leadership skills. We are empowering our girls to also feel successful in areas beyond academics and giving them a platform on which to shine and grow into tomorrow's leaders.

URGENT APPEAL: Orphans Left Hungry, Help Needed Now!

A heartbreaking temporary funding setback has left EarthChildren unable to provide daily meals for 66 orphaned refugee girls and 20 families in Bangladesh.
🔆 It only costs 1000 dollars a month to feed all 66 girls and 20 families. 10 donations of 100 USD would feed our girls for the month of May.
🔆 Donations go straight to food – no overhead, no salaries. All staff are working for free during this crucial period.

At EarthChildren, we believe in celebrating every milestone on the journey of learning and growth. That’s why we’re excited to share the latest Status Report ceremony that just happened in our schools!

During these quarterly ceremonies, every child receives a comprehensive report detailing her achievements to date, which serves as a testament to each girl’s dedication to her learning journey, showcases her accomplishments, and provides proof of both her perseverance and hard work.

Another benefit of these ceremonies is that they afford an opportunity for the girls’ guardians to celebrate her efforts and achievements and to see first-hand the empowering benefits of female education.

Wishing everyone a joyous Eid-al-Fitr!

This special occasion is a time of celebration, gratitude, and renewal. One tradition for this holiday is for children to get new clothes as a representation of new beginnings.

The sad reality is that most children in the camps have only one or two sets of clothing all year round. For the girls in our programs, EarthChildren provides new outfits a few times a year, and Eid-al-Fitr is the perfect time to bring extra smiles to our girls’ faces and to ease the financial burden of the holiday for their families by providing the girls with bright festive dresses for the holiday.

Let’s embrace the spirit of compassion and generosity this Eid by remembering those in need and spreading love to all. Eid Mubarak!

One year ago, when these determined young girls entered our programs, they didn't speak a single word of English - but their positivity, focus, and dedication have known no bounds. They have spent the last year working tirelessly at their studies and making impressive progress in every conceivable area. From learning English to mastering a myriad of content areas, their growth and transformation has been inspiring.

Today marks World Water Day!

Water is a precious resource that is in scarce supply in many places around the world. The overcrowded refugee camps of Bangladesh are a prime example of this where Rohingya refugees face a daily struggle for clean water. Limited resources and infrastructure as well as seasonable flooding caused by monsoon rains make many dependent on contaminated water sources, which naturally lead to rampant waterborne diseases.

Access to clean water should not be so difficult. On this World Water Day, we encourage you to find ways, big and small, to help ensure equitable access to this precious resource for all of earth’s children.

Wishing you a blessed Mid-Shaban and Shab-e-Barat season! Mid-Shaban marks the night of blessings and forgiveness, while Shab-e-Barat represents a night of record-keeping for our deeds. EarthChildren embraces diversity and unity and celebrates these Muslim holidays with full hearts and gratitude.

Pictured are the traditional celebratory foods of “Lorifira/Ludifida” (rice tortillas), “Al-luah” (rice halwa with coconut), and “beef curry” enjoyed by Rohingya Muslims this time of year. Let’s savor the richness of culture and the warmth of togetherness during this special season.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to one of our beloved learning center teachers. He is moving on to get a higher education and to use his immense talents to change the world. We are excited for this opportunity for him and thankful for the love, inspiration, and happiness that he spread in our EarthChildren classrooms.

The girls he taught have been irrevocably changed by his positive influence in their lives. A heartfelt thanks to him for everything he did to uplift, inspire, motivate, educate, and elevate our girls. He will be dearly missed.
