Our mission is to bring as much joy and comfort as we can to kids battling cancer in Central Florida. Rosie's Adventures is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Our mission is to help kids with cancer and their families make as many fun memories together as possible. From fun adventures with first responders, to care packages when a child is admitted in the hospital, to fun events, to hospital and family support, we are here to bring as much joy and comfort as we can to kids battling cancer and their families.

Today we were at Arnold Palmer to drop off fun band-aids. We also dropped off everything you would need for a fun slumber party…popcorn buckets, robes, fluffy socks, face masks, spa head bands, Stanley’s, and books. We hope they have a super fun party on the oncology floor with all the goodies!

We want to give a big thank you to Mr. Hobby and all the students in the Give A Smile Club at Lake Mary High School for collecting fun band-aids last month for the kids on the oncology floors! It's so beautiful when kids care and help other kids! Thank you all!!!

We want to thank everyone that sent fun band-aids for the kids on the oncology floor. We stopped by Nemours this morning to drop off some of the band-aids. We also dropped off unicorn and dinosaur gift bags and animal books for the kids. We are able to do what we do because of all of your support so thank you all so much!

Big thank yous to Vidette van Wyk, Robert Webb, Tarina Beck, Amanda Brynne, Elizabeth Hart, De Luciana Millan for sending fun band-aids last week! We received some packages with no names on them so thank you to the people that sent those too! We really appreciate you all!!! And we know the kids will really appreciate everyone that sends in fun band-aids for them!

We received a lot of fun band-aids over the last couple of days! We want to give big thank yous to Sarah Kemper, Dede Riberdy, Darcy Passmore, Lisa Smith, Brynnesgiving, Tammy Hinks, Lucinda Hicks-Beach, Cate Jonas, Henry Jonas, Sammy Jonas, the Kott Family, Erin Booth, and the Elliott Family for sending us fun band-aids!

When I talk about kids being accessed and deaccessed I'm talking about their ports. Whenever a child with a port goes to oncology clinics for labs or gets chemo their port is accessed. That huge needle is pushed into their chest. Rosie's port was under her bruised skin. Even though she wanted a port over a broviac towards the end of her life so she could swim it still traumatized her every time she had that needle pushed into her chest.

One of the reasons our fun band-aid drive is so important is because a simple choice of a cute band-aid can help calm and distract a child when they have to go through this. Even though this is done over and over again it is still really rough on a lot of kids.

We still have 13 days to collect more fun band-aids for the oncology floors at Nemours, Arnold Palmer, and Advent Health. We want to thank Joanne Harvey, Joann Filliben, Ailleen De Jesus, Kristie, and Addison Kenney and family for sending us kids band-aids! My heart is so happy with the amount of fun band-aids we have received. We have almost enough to stock up two oncology floors. Keep sending them to us if you haven't already done so. They really make a difference in a child's day!
