Monday October 28 and Wednesday October 30 we are having two fundraisers to support the STAR Center. Woodstocks and Panera both have been gracious enough to set aside an evening this month to help raise funds for the STAR Center. All you have to do is bring in a digital copy of this flyer or mention our name and a portion of the proceeds from the night will be donated to our program if we reach $100 in sales at Panera, $500 in sales at Woodstocks. Please consider stopping by or sharing this post to raise awareness of our fundraiser.

Thank you Hibdon Motors for donating pumpkins and costumes for our youth. The kids enjoyed the opportunity to paint their pumpkins, as did staff. And although not one person voted for my pumpkin in the contest it was still a successful afternoon.

Únase a nosotros el 2 de octubre de 2024 de 10 a 12 p. m. en la sala de conferencias Success One para nuestra distribución de zapatos para las vacaciones de otoño. Este evento es para todos los estudiantes del condado de Glenn necesitados y que califican como McKinney Vento o jóvenes de crianza. Los zapatos se distribuirán por orden de llegada hasta agotar existencias. Los estudiantes deben estar presentes para participar.

Join us on October 2, 2024 from 10-12pm at Success One Conference room for our Fall Break Shoe Distribution. This event is all Glenn County students in need and who qualify as McKinney Vento or foster youth. Shoes will be distributed on a first come/first served basis while supplies last. Students must be present to participate in.

Please see flyer attached for specific qualifications.

The STAR Center will be at the Success One Conference Center today from 10am-2pm to give away the backpacks and school supplies to Glenn County students who qualify (those who live in a motel, car, trailer w/o hookups, doubled up, unaccompanied minors, foster care, shelter, transitional housing, Section 8, substandard housing, or receive CalWorks/CalFresh).

*Supplies will be distributed on a first come/first serve basis (while supplies last) and student(s) must be present to participate. *

Another successful Stuff the Bus in the books! Now on to sorting and getting ready for the handouts Tuesday in Willows at WIS (10-2pm) and Wednesday in Orland at Success One Conference Center (10-2pm). Thank you as always Willows Wal Mart for allowing us to setup there. Thank you to all the generous folks from Glenn County who donated. And thanks to STAR Center staff Mia, Angelica, Thomas, Marissa and the youth who volunteered their time to help collect the donations.

We will be at Wal Mart in Willows from 10-2pm (or maybe longer) today and tomorrow collecting back packs, school supplies, clothes etc for our giveaways next week.

Remember Glenn County, Stuff the Bus is this week. Join us Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Willows Wal Mart from 10am-2pm. We will be collecting backpacks and school supplies for children at need in our area.
