Orland Village Fishway and Dam Project
Public Meeting June 17, 2026
The Orland Dam Steering Committee will hold a public meeting on June 17, 2026 to discuss the ongoing engineering evaluation and feasibility study at the Orland Village Dam.
Last fall and winter, the Orland Dam Steering Committee worked with Inter-fluve and Downeast Salmon Federation to complete a project scope and Request for Qualifications that was distributed to engineering firms. Verdantas was brought on in March 2026 to complete the engineering evaluation and feasibility study. Verdantas recently conducted field investigations at the dam and fishway, including installation of water level sensors that will collect data through this fall, and a dam conditions assessment.
This meeting is an opportunity for members of the community to hear more about the project, the current state of the fishway and dam, and potential options being considered for dam and fishway rehabilitation, along with preliminary cost ranges. There will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions of and provide input to the Committee and Verdantas.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm in Room 19 at the Community Center, located at 21 School House Road. You can also join virtually at the following Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87453653017?pwd=GhVn44KrNrrLD2tLd3iJaXv0jcBYXK.1
