We have given grants to 22 women so far in 2026.
Meet one of our recipients, Elizabeth:
Elizabeth was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer on 9/23/24. After taking care of her mom for ten years, she was shocked to realize she had her own health battle to fight. Elizabeth took on her diagnosis as a fight for her life. And though the term incurable was mentioned too many times for her liking, it was the driver she needed to make changes.
“I became a sponge, gathering knowledge of other women fighting the fight. I read books on eating to kill cancer, listened to podcasts of others battling stage 4. I immediately said these four words COURAGE, COMMITMENT, CHANGE & CONQUER. I made posters and placed them in every room in my house. YOU GOT THIS! became my mantra.
I had the courage to take on this disease head on, I am beating it and I will one day be cancer free. My first set of scans showed 23 tumors. Changes I made: first got rid of my microwave, stopped drinking my beverage of choice, Diet Coke, and did not look back. I began eating a keto/vegetarian diet. I eliminated white sugar and carbohydrates. I do intermittent fasting. I exercise three times a day.”
Elizabeth began incorporating many alternative treatments (boosting alkaline levels, hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions, black seed oil, apricot kernels, and more) into her conventional cancer treatment and miraculously, her tumors began shrinking and disappearing.
“My message is do not feel alone or beaten. We are not alone. I am grateful that I have incorporated alternative medicine along with modern medicine. It is working for me. My most recent scans reflect no abnormal focal radiotracer uptake to suggest osteoblastic metastasis. Cancer antigens went from 55 upon diagnosis to 5. No longer abnormal. I still have an ongoing fight with breast, lungs and liver. However, I have decreased those tumors dramatically. They are 70% smaller. I am conquering the disease. Stage 4 can and will be beaten!
I want to thank all involved at Embrace Emily for being there for all of us that have battled and are still battling breast cancer. I will be applying the grant towards my deductible. I have scans done every 3 months as well as Bone infusions every 3 months as well. I will continue to research more of the holistic approach as well as focusing on healing my body.”
We are so grateful Elizabeth found us and are wishing her continued strength and healing!
