Giving Tuesday/A Night of Charity - Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Dear Friends and Families,

Tuesday, December 2, 2025, is Giving Tuesday/A Night of Charity and I am asking you to consider a donation to the Central New York Children’s Dyslexia Center. When you donate to the Central New York Children’s Dyslexia Center, you are making a difference in the lives of children learning to read. Your support arms these students with vital literacy skills required for classroom and lifetime success.
What is Giving Tuesday?
In its 8th year, and fourth as an “in-house” gathering, the Scottish Rite Charities Giving Tuesday event is the annual signature fundraiser --gathering over 200+ attendees, engaging 20+ individual, corporate and valley sponsors, and raising significant funds for the Fraternity’s five charities, including the Children’s Dyslexia Centers. As a National Day of Giving, it is a prime opportunity for the Children’s Dyslexia Centers to raise critical funds, and awareness through donor, network and community outreach.
What is the CDC Center Fundraising Challenge? As an exciting incentive, the Center with the most individual donors during the campaign and Telethon will receive a $5,000 Sponsor a Child donation from the Scottish Rite Benevolent Foundation!
Rules for donations to be counted include:
1. Any amount counts as a donation for the Learning Center Sponsor a Child Bonus.
2. Donations can be made from now until 9:00 PM on the Day of Giving (December 2, 2025).
3. Donations can be made online at: DonateRite.org or on the “Donate Icon” on our website
at: www.cnyclc.org
4. Donations can also be called in during the Telethon Dec 2nd 7:00 to 9:00 pm at 1-800-814-1432.
5. Donations can also be mailed to:
Supreme Council AASR- NMJ- 33 Marrett Rd - Lexington, MA 02421 (postmarked by 12/2/25)
6. Please be sure to indicate ‘CNY’ (Central New York) on all donations to ensure they are directed to the correct center. Donations should be labeled as:
“Giving Tuesday – Children’s Dyslexia Center – CNY.”
Thank you for your consideration of supporting our Dyslexia Center.
Sincerely,

Marianne Jones, Director
