Some make time for fishing even when Arthur is approaching.

Took the girls out this morning, getting a little family time in. Plenty of rain and thunder storms around and it kept us from getting to where I had hoped to. Made the best of it with a few handfuls of small specks and a couple keeper fish and a couple flounder with one real nice fish. I have been enjoying the 3 inch #368 DOA shrimp and so have the specks! fishing it as they say "naked" or with out the popping cork.

Oriental Kayak Fishing Tournament will be held on May 24th, 2014. That's a few months earlier than last year, so make your plans, mark it on your calendar, tell your fishing buddies and bring your family to Oriental NC - ONC.

Just got word that Tom Johnson is coming back to defend his title. Who is Tom Johnson? In the 3 previous tournaments, he finished 2nd, 2nd, 1st. Take a good look at this pic. He is a fishing machine. Oh yeah, his wife will kick your tail too....not scared are ya?
