Orford Community Bandstand

Orford Community Bandstand Offering free concerts in the summer With the town’s approval, we undertook plans to build the bandstand on the East Common.

In 2013, a group of Orford residents got together to determine how and where to construct a bandstand that would serve as a venue for live music and community functions. While funding was being arranged for the construction of the venue, we proceeded to have concerts on the Common near the new site. A plywood base was laid down, bands performed, and townsfolk came together! The construction of t

he bandstand took a couple years to complete, while concerts were held on it’s base along the way. In 2019, the new bandstand was ceremoniously handed over to the town. It’s usage and maintenance is controlled by the Parks and Playgrounds Committee.
