MWEG, congratulations on the national press. Your recognition is well-earned, and we are proud to be your members, supporters, and colleagues. The The New York Times made (we assume) some editorial decisions to make the article more enticing to readers of a national audience. Whatever. We won’t let drama—or even misrepresentation—get in the way of celebrating your hard work and dedication, nor that of your co-plaintiffs League of Women Voters. Nothing about a legal, well-argued, successful lawsuit contradicts peacemaking—quite the opposite, in fact. We won’t be diminished by a society that can’t help but paint in caricatures. Shout out to Susan R. Madsen too. Bravo, brave ladies.
