Some people see a golf tournament.

For families at Kids on the Move, it can mean so much more.

It can mean a child finding their voice through speech therapy.

A milestone that once felt impossible.

Answers after months of uncertainty.

Resources, support, hope, and sometimes simply the chance to breathe again.

Every foursome registered, every hole sponsored, and every raffle ticket purchased helps make these moments possible for children and families in our community.

This event changes lives far beyond the golf course.
-Register a foursome
-Sponsor a hole
-Purchase raffle tickets

Be part of a story bigger than the game. Join us and help create more moments like these.

Does your child seem frustrated when trying to communicate?

As parents, we notice the little things. The missed words, the struggles to express needs, the moments that make us pause and wonder if our child may need extra support. And while every child develops at their own pace, early intervention can make a powerful difference during the most important years of brain development.

Research shows that 80% of brain development happens within the first 1,000 days of life, making early support one of the greatest gifts we can give our children.

At Kids on the Move, our Early Intervention program provides compassionate care, personalized therapies, and guidance for families navigating developmental concerns. From speech and communication to social and motor skills, we’re here to help children build confidence and thrive in every stage of development.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. You know your child best and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

There are things your kids say at home... and then there are the things they say in public 😅 …the kind that make you pause, smile politely, and immediately rethink every life choice that led you to that exact moment.

We know you’ve got one.

Drop the most unhinged, out-of-pocket thing your child has ever said in public in the comments (You’re among friends here… no judgment, just solidarity.)

Because raising kids is a wild ride... and sometimes, you just have to laugh together.

The real heroes of this tournament aren’t on a scoreboard… they’re the businesses, families, and community members who choose to show up for children who need them most.

When you sponsor a hole, register a foursome, or buy raffle tickets for the Hope in Motion Golf Tournament on June 15th, you’re doing more than participating in an event, you’re helping provide critical therapies, education, and support services for children with delays and disabilities.

You have the power to help a child find their voice, take their first steps, gain confidence, and give families hope for the future.

•Sponsor a hole and make a meaningful impact while highlighting your business
•Grab your foursome and golf for a greater purpose
•Purchase raffle tickets and help change lives one swing at a time

Because of people like YOU, children in our community receive the support they deserve.

Join us in making a difference both on and off the course. 💙 KOTM.org

Early intervention isn’t about “fixing” a child.

It’s about helping children build the tools, confidence, and support they need to communicate, connect, regulate emotions, and thrive.

Research shows the earlier support begins, the greater the opportunity to strengthen critical developmental skills.

If you’ve noticed things like:
• delayed speech
• sensory sensitivities
• difficulty with transitions
• developmental delays

trust your instincts.

At Kids on the Move, our programs provide individualized support for children and families through services like ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and more.

“High-functioning.”
“Low-functioning.”

These labels may sound helpful, but they often oversimplify the lived experience of autistic individuals.

Some children are labeled “high-functioning” while silently struggling with anxiety, sensory overload, burnout, and social isolation.

Others are labeled “low-functioning” and have their intelligence, emotions, and potential underestimated every single day.

Autism is not a straight line from “less severe” to “more severe.”

It’s a spectrum of different strengths, challenges, communication styles, and support needs.

The goal shouldn’t be fitting autistic children into labels.
The goal should be understanding what support helps them thrive.

“This is going to be a good ride, and we’re going to make it.” — KOTM Co-Founder Brenda Winegar

These beautiful souls are here to teach us about ourselves: love, patience, strength, and a broader perspective of what this life is truly about.

As the mother of a child with special needs, there can be grief, uncertainty, and moments of the unknown. But when you’re willing to do something hard and have the support of a community, you become stronger, more confident, and more adaptable.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms who understand that some of the deepest lessons in parenting come when the children become the teachers. 💙
