We are absolutely thrilled that Karen McCandless is our new mayor! We are also excited for Quinn Mecham to serve on the city council.

Though they did not win, we truly appreciate Doyle Mortimer and Angela Moulton for working so hard, putting their whole hearts into this race, for their courage, and, above all, always taking the high road.

We extend our best wishes to Crystal Muhlestein and LaNae Millett who also secured seats on the city council.

We are very happy about the amazing school board we will have in our new school district! Hearty congratulations to David Smith, Ada Wilson, Michele Sorensen, and Sterling Hilton. Seat 6 remains very close, with only 19 votes separating Aerwyn Whitlock and Grace Rex. We endorsed Aerwyn and are cheering for her, but we’re confident our district will be well served either way.

We are proud of the positive campaigns all nine of our endorsed candidates ran. They are all great examples of principled leadership.

We are especially grateful to all of YOU, this wonderful, supportive community! Thank you for being involved and for voting. We look forward to continuing to build a stronger Orem with all of you.
