Several of our Post members attended a family fish fry of member Gary Budine and Auxiliary member Rena Adkins Sunday last week. We were grateful for the food, fellowship, and a chance to see our friend Gary one last time. He passed this Sunday night after battling pancreatic cancer. We will remember your smile, your humor, and especially your delicious cakes and cobblers. Rest in peace our friend.

I'm thankful that my prayers were answered and even though we had some wind and rain earlier in the day on Saturday, it cleared up in time for the parade, BINGO, and other activities allowing merchants to sell their wares and food and those if us selling raffle tickets to raise funds for our misc organizations to do so. I realize money is tight right now, but we appreciate everyone who supported our VFW Auxiliary so we can continue to support our Veterans.
