Ogle County 4-H

Ogle County 4-H Welcome to Ogle County 4-H, Illinois 4-H Page! Curious to learn more!

Illinois 4-H is the flagship youth development program of University of Illinois Extension and administered through the College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences.

4-H grows true leaders, youth who are empowered for life today and prepared for a career tomorrow. The hands-on approach in 4-H gives young people guidance, tools and encouragement, and then puts them in the driverโ€™s

seat to make great things happen. Independent research confirms the unparalleled impact of the 4-H experience, demonstrating that young people are four times more likely to contribute to their communities; two times more likely to make healthier choices; two times more likely to be civically active; and two times more likely to participate in STEM programs. ๐Ÿ€Sign up by tomorrow at 4:00 pm!๐Ÿ€

A community member reached out in search of assistance planting saplings for the USDA Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). We will gather on May 16 at 8:00 a.m. at 3506 E Flagg Rd, Ashton, IL, to plant trees! Please sign up in ZSuite under Events by tomorrow at 4:00 pm so we know we have enough volunteers to help plant the saplings. Dress for the weather, bring a shovel and gloves! Due to the more uneven terrain, Cloverbuds should not attend and we recommend ages 10+ participate (although 8+ are welcome if desired). There may be brush and vegetation in the area trees are to be planted.

Join me in pledging our hands to larger service as we help the community!
