Get ready to spend October outside! Registration for the 2026 Mammoth Hike Challenge is OPEN! 🥾🦣🍂

This October, challenge yourself ot experience the best of Wisconsin by hiking 46 miles on the Ice Age Trail and visiting three Trail Communities. Complete the Challenge to earn a limited-edition patch and hiking certificate. Even more bonus mile opportunities are available to help you reach your goal!

Every fall, thousands of hikers from Wisconsin and beyond take on the Mammoth Hike Challenge. Some revisit favorite sections of the Ice Age Trail. Others discover new Trail Communities (including three added for 2026!). Families make memories together, friends challenge one another, and solo hikers find peace among Wisconsin's vibrant fall colors.

🏕️ TROOP 168 TAKES ON CAMP TOMAHAWK! 🏕️
Two weeks ago, 28 Scouts and their leaders packed up and headed to Camp Tomahawk in Birchwood, WI for a week they won't forget! From July 12–18, our Scouts called the Chippewa sub-camp's Shoshone campsite home while diving into everything summer camp has to offer.
⛺ Merit badges earned across the board
🚤 High adventure activities — sailing, ATV riding, shooting sports, and more
🏆 We brought home the Tomahawk Super Troop Award! 🏆
🐻 A very memorable "bear safety" skit from our fearless leaders
🎯 Daily challenges, and adult leader scavenger bingo

Scouting builds confidence, friendship, and adventure — and this week at Camp Tomahawk was a perfect example of why we love what we do.

Yesterday, Troop 168 had the privilege of welcoming and escorting several of our honored veterans as they departed on their Badger Honor Flight. A total of 86 veterans traveled to Washington, D.C. for a special day filled with ceremonies, fellowship, and tours of the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.

We are forever grateful for the dedication and courage these men and women showed in serving our country. It was truly an honor to support them and help send them off for a day of recognition they so richly deserve. We hope they had a memorable and meaningful experience surrounded by the appreciation and respect of their community.

What an incredible weekend at Troop 168 Skill Camp! 🙌

Our scouts didn’t just have fun — they built real skills and confidence along the way:
🔥 Mastered fire building
🪢 Learned essential knots & pioneering
🍳 Cooked their own meals outdoors
🧭 Practiced navigation and teamwork
⛑️ Gained hands-on first aid experience

Even more importantly, they grew as leaders, problem-solvers, and teammates.

We’re proud of every scout who showed up, worked hard, and supported each other all weekend. 💪

Our troop spent the night aboard the USS Cobia—learning about history, teamwork, and life underwater.
