A wonderful opportunity right next door to our Serenity Home with our neighbors at Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center.

While Advent is a season of hope and Christmas is a season of joy, not everyone feels like celebrating. This retreat seeks to provide a space to come together to acknowledge the pain and grief in the world, while trusting in God’s light and love for such a time as this.

This overnight retreat will include 3 sessions led by a facilitator to be announced in the upcoming months. The sessions will focus on grief, wonder, and hope. A Chaplain will be available on site for anyone needing to step away from the group and receive additional support. The retreat will also include worship, such as a longest night service, creative space for reflective art, and down time for rest.

Join us on September 29th to create a beautiful Memorial Shadow Box, a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one or cherished pet. ❤️

Each participant will receive an octagon-shaped shadow box with a dark wooden frame, ready to personalize with paint, stain, embellishments, and a variety of decorative supplies. The workshop fee is $15 and includes everything you'll need to create your one-of-a-kind keepsake.

We encourage you to bring any special photos, mementos, or small personal items you'd like to include to make your shadow box even more meaningful.

The workshop begins at 9:00 AM, but you're welcome to arrive later, just be sure to allow enough time to finish your project before 2:00 PM.
