CASA of Clackamas County works closely with from the Clackamas County Dependency Court to ensure parents, attorneys, DHS, service providers and the court fulfill their responsibilities to the child. However, CASA of Clackamas County is an independent agency with separate roles and responsibilities to the children we all jointly serve.

When a child enters the court system due to abuse or neglect, their world gets turned upside down. They face a confusing maze of social workers, lawyers and court hearings.

CASA volunteers are everyday people appointed by a judge to stick with one child. They investigate the child's situation, advocate for their best interests directly in court, and provide a reliable, consistent adult presence during a chaotic time.
