We seek donors for our partner Agua Viva Internacional so they can drill wells, rehab existing wells & minister to their fellow Hondurans.

Welcome Team Marlenga to Honduras!

This week of drilling and ministry is sponsored in honor of Kay Marlenga of Catawba Wisconsin.

For all 98 years of her life, Kay farmed and won numerous awards for top quality milk

She loved to read and was a great letter writer.

Kay loved sewing and shared her quilts with family and friends.

She loved flowers and tried to have a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table no matter the season.

Though she never traveled too far from home, this week Kay, your legacy for serving others and showing people you care is carried on in this small farming community in northern Honduras.

A well will be drilled in your honor and we will deliver hand sewn gifts made from your materials.

Praying we reach water — but knowing for certain we will
serve the people with compassion and share stories of the Jesus that Kay loved so dearly.

Jaime Torres, of Agua Viva Guatemala, continued valuable training today with the Staff.

Next week will be our first use with her in the field.

Today we welcome Jaime Torres of Asociacion Pozos Agua Viva!

Jaime came from Guatemala to share his expertise in using the LS400+ with our Staff.

While the rig is similar to what our Drillers have used, “Grace” is much more powerful with several enhancements.

The team looks forward to learning much from Jaime this week.

On a personal note, Jaime has been an unknown angel to our ministry from the very beginning.

On days we were not sure how it would be possible for this organization to move forward, he would speak words of encouragement and hope over us.

He has been a bigger blessing than he even knows. His faith has been an example to us.

Praying God blesses “Grace” and the time these men all spend together learning and praising God for all He has done and will do.

And may God continue to bless Jaime and his ministry!

Somewhere between breaking pipe, sharing meals, laughing with kids, and mixing concrete, something happens.

Strangers become friends.

We learn from each other.
We encourage one another.

And we see God's goodness through people whose lives may look very different from our own.

If you've drilled before, you may recognize what that rig is doing.

Hitting rock.

The team fought it all week. They moved the rig three different times, believing the next spot might be the one. It wasn't.

It was hard for the team, and it's hard for all of us who know this school needs a safe, reliable water source.

The truth is, this is part of drilling. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. We can do everything right and still come up against something we simply can't overcome.

That's also why every conversation matters. Every hug. Every prayer. Every smile. Every opportunity to build relationships and point people to Jesus.

While the team this week didn’t leave the school with the physical water, they did leave knowing they shared the Living Water.

They loved people well. They encouraged them. They prayed with them. And those moments have eternal value.

We're hopeful once our new drill rig is in operation, we'll be able to return to this school and try again.

Every well sponsor makes it possible for us to keep showing up—even on the hard days—until communities have the clean water they deserve.
