TONIGHT! June 2nd, 7 PM. Join in the Washington County Master Gardener Association's Speaker Series webinar as Josie Losh, Curator of Horticulture, Lan Su Chinese Garden presents: "How to Successfully Grow Chinese Vegetables, Fruits and Ornamentals in the Pacific NW"

Josie will focus her presentation on two unique facets of Chinese horticulture: the edible and the ornamental. China has a very rich history of cultivating plants which extends thousands of years. During this talk, you will learn about the symbolism of China’s most important plants and how they still relate to the day-to-day life of the Chinese people. Furthermore, Josie will present tips for successfully growing Chinese fruits and vegetables in the Pacific Northwest climate.

OSU (Oregon) Master Gardener Program volunteers will be throughout the metro area this weekend at farmers' markets and community events, eager to talk all things plants and share science-based guidance for successful and sustainable gardening.

Join Oregon Farm Corps as they welcome staff from the Dry Farming Institute for a virtual workshop on Thriving With Less Water.

This workshop is for gardeners, farmers, and anyone who is interested in growing plants while using less water

The Dry Farming Institute’s Oregon-Based Team will:

1. Explain the relationship between water resilience and community resilience.

2. Explore tested strategies and case study examples of how to get started on your water resilient journey.

3. Offer an opportunity to share your water challenges.

4. Provide connections to a community of practice that wants to support you in your water-resilient and dry farming efforts.
