Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons graduates Dr. Jacques Ebhele and Dr. Samuel Nigo, both of whom received SF’s “More Than Surgery” book sets for medical missionaries, are contending with the recent Ebola outbreak. The epicenter lies at the hospital in Bunia, DRC, where the surgeons serve.

Dr. Nigo recently tested positive for the disease, in addition to many other staff members. With no vaccine or specific treatment, the situation is “very chaotic,” according to Dr. Ebhele. He continues, “The situation is terrible…but we will not give up. Because I know our Redeemer is alive and He will fight our battle while we are doing our best to try to help as many people as we can.” Please pray for healing for those who have fallen ill and for the protection of medical staff and their families as they seek to fight this disease.

SF board members convened May 29th-30th in Indianapolis for their annual in-person conference. God’s spirit of unity was evident in the election of new board members Dr. Deborah Eisenhut and Josiah Walkup, the approval of new SF missionaries Fabrice and Sylviane Dubus and Modeste and Lucie Mutshiawudi Mbombo, as well as the adoption of SF’s new Child Safety Handbook and Ransom Policy–all unanimously decided.

Board President Ray Sanford honored departing SF missionaries Nathan Phillips and Annie Phillips for their 21 years of service, and Executive Director Angela Brandle offered a report of “great blessings” of God’s work over the past seven months, including engaged board members, a healthy operational staff, and the purchase of 500 Bibles and 600 biblical books delivered to strategic francophone partners. Please continue to pray for the SF board members as they seek to walk in faithful, dependent obedience to God as they join Him in what He has sent them to do.

SF partner Pastor Israël Kibombi embarked on a missionary journey to distribute 200 Bibles. Thanks to your generosity, these Bibles will reach the hands of Congolese believers longing to hold and savor copies of their very own.

This week Pastor Kibombi arrived in Kasaï-Central, a province in south-central DRC, and plans to travel to Kananga, the province’s capital city. Fatigued from his travels and ministry, Pastor Kibombi asks for our prayers.

Congratulations to SF Beautiful Feet partner Ghislain Yamongbe, who received his nursing diploma last week after years of hard work caring for a growing family, pastoring in his local church, and serving on the SF board, in addition to pursuing his studies. Pastor Gee Guezo was honored as the school’s Student Speaker, sowing Bible verses, references to Jesus, and African proverbs into his speech. Pastor Gee sees this diploma as an integral part of his obedience to the Great Commission; after gaining more experience, he hopes to use his medical training as a missionary. Please pray for Pastor Gee to pass the NCLEX exam and for God’s guidance and strength in taking next steps of faith in serving Him.

Thanks to your generosity, SF supplied 300 copies of David Platt’s Follow Me for a training conference led by our partner Pastor Jacques Luwaku in Kinshasa, DRC. Slated for May 19th-22nd, the conference seeks to equip pastors and evangelists in order to galvanize missionary work in the DRC, train and multiply healthy leaders, as well as encourage local churches in training disciples. Please pray for Pastor Jacques, the conference, and participants as they seek to be witnesses for Christ in the world.

SF’s Beautiful Feet mentor Alain Stamp recently celebrated his 80th birthday! Board member Pastor Gee Guezo expressed his gratitude to “Papa Alain” for his years of shepherding mentorship. He also thanked SF, whose support allowed Alain to travel to francophone Africa and build pivotal mentoring relationships. Another mentee, SF partner Pastor Jeff M'gliwè of Togo, writes: “Thank you for the man that you are, for your fatherly heart, for your advice filled with wisdom, and for the profound impact that you’ve had in my life and in the lives of so many others. Your example of faith, humility, and perseverance continues to inspire generations.” Alain’s mentorship has shaped many of our Beautiful Feet partners, who serve as faithful leaders in the Gospel throughout the French-speaking world.

Our partners at the Oasis Media Center print-on-demand (POD) facility report record sales. Large recent orders–in addition to two from SF–should make March the largest sales month since the center opened in 2024. SF partner Bradley Graber writes, “Our thanks and praise go to God who has blessed us with his gracious hand.” Please pray for an ocean freight shipment of printing supplies to arrive by the end of this month and for the POD center to continue on its path to being self-sustaining.
