What are SF missionaries Fabrice and Sylviane Dubus up to? In their ministry with Clé Éditions, they celebrated the release of Jesus Our True Friend in French and ask for prayer for the next editorial committee meeting October 15th to select future publications. As the new school year starts at the Brussels Bible Institute, Fabrice will be in Belgium September 25–27 for a board meeting, a lecture on the history of Protestantism in Belgium, and the opening session and graduation.

In their recent prayer letter, the Dubus also express great gratitude for their new partnership with SF: “In a challenging situation in which several of our financial supporters have ceased their support due to financial difficulties or the passing of very elderly Christians, we see the guiding hand of God, who sees the big picture - both today and tomorrow - and who orchestrates the timing and circumstances to provide for our needs.”

Please continue to support the Dubus with prayer.

Learn more about the Dubus' ministry in the video and in this brochurehttps://synergiefrancophone.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Dubus-Brochure-Final-nonprint-version.pdf

SF partner Pastor Koudjovi Mawuli Abidi completed a 3-month course with CEF in Lomé, Togo. Pastor Abidi describes the training as a rich, intense learning experience, engaging participants from 7 French-speaking countries.

Participants had opportunities to put their learning into action, including a Good News Club, in which some children accepted Christ as their Savior. “I realized more strongly [children’s] spiritual need, the urgency to win them for Christ, and the importance of training teachers capable of effectively accompanying them,” he writes.

Please pray God would fulfill Pastor Abidi’s desire to faithfully put into practice the skills he learned, so that more children hear the Gospel, learn the Word of God, and are established in local churches.

SF partner Rev. Dr. Galilée J. Périlus, president and founder of CEFA-Haiti, thanks God for the Bible school’s annual leadership conference last month. CEFA seeks to form leaders who foster growth in others, serve with excellence, and strengthen their communities, offering training programs, leadership initiatives, and different projects to prepare the next generation for future challenges.

Please continue to pray for Rev. Dr. Périlus and CEFA, as well as each of the conference’s participants to put into action the knowledge they received, sparking Christ-centered transformation in a turmoil-wracked nation.

BLF Éditions is giving free copies of Dominique Angers’ How to Study Theology without Growing Distant from God to SF partner CEFA-Haiti, a Bible school in Haiti. BLF Canada will cover the cost to ship the books from Quebec to Haiti. Please pray this resource for students and pastors will arrive at the school smoothly and will inspire deeper intimacy with God in all who read it.

SF partner Rev. Toe-Blake Roy of BLF Canada shared how the Lord was at work in an evangelism campaign at a small Baptist church in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, Canada, August 4th-8th. An American missionary had been in the same area and had committed to pray Friday nights on the church’s property—for seven years. His prayer was to see the entire town receive a Gospel message in their home. God answered his prayer! The ministry Every Home for Christ International sent Gospel booklets to 5,100 homes two weeks before the campaign. This prepared the way for 40 evangelists to follow up door-to-door and invite locals to a free Hope Breakfast at the close of the campaign.

At the breakfast, Rev. Roy asked one of the partcipants if he knew God loved him. The participant answered with a clear yes: In a difficult time, he had intentionally walked over a barely-frozen lake, hoping to fall through and be free of his troubles. Sinking into the freezing water, he realized he wanted to live and asked for God to save him. At that moment, a police officer nearby saw him, and he was rescued. Rev. Roy was thrilled to continue the conversation about God’s love, and the participant intends to come back to the church. Please pray for each of the campaign's participants to respond to God’s love, and for those who served them to not grow weary of doing good.

"I thank you for these generous gifts of books for the John Huffman School library. A young girl spent two months reading the big book of Narnia. She was so happy when she brought it to me, saying, ‘Auntie, I read the whole book you gave me.’

"The book on Martin Luther also appealed to a child who, among other things, learned about the Reformation and the story of Martin Luther. He hadn't heard of it. When I explained it to him, he picked up the book again and reread it with even greater interest.

"The Manga collection brings joy to Christians and non-Christians alike. Children come to the library to read them and discover the Good News. It's great to see children fighting for these books."

~Angeline Affangla, librarian and religious education teacher at John Huffman Primary School, a predominantly Muslim school in Senegal, which received books purchased by SF
