August 13th was another great day at Cedars Laundromat in Sandy! We welcomed 37 awesome neighbors and helped keep laundry moving with 44 loads washed: 9 small, 26 medium, and 9 large.
Our fabulous friends at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Sandy blessed the community with a delicious meal of enchiladas, salad, fresh greens and garden vegetables, plus cookies to top it all off. We were also able to provide food boxes thanks to the incredible folks from Mt. Hood Seventh-day Adventist Church, helping make sure our neighbors had a little extra support to take home.
The amazing gals from the Oregon Department of Human Services team joined us as well, providing valuable resources, information, and plenty of smiles along the way.
It was another reminder that when our community comes together, something as simple as clean laundry can become an opportunity to share a meal, connect people with resources, and let our neighbors know they are cared for.
37 neighbors served. 44 loads of laundry. Full bellies, helpful resources, and a whole lot of community care. Now that's a successful day!

August 11th at Brax Laundry - Molalla was another wonderful day of community, connection, and a whole lot of laundry! 🧺❤️ We were able to serve 36 amazing neighbors and help with 36 loads of laundry, including 4 small, 12 medium, and 20 large loads.
Our fabulous friend, Grace, from the Oregon Department of Human Services, joined us outside to connect with our neighbors and share information about the resources and services they have to offer. We were also blessed to have Pam, the awesome musician and friend from Grace Lutheran Church, and the phenomenal Pastor Carlos, who brought his family along to serve. They jumped right in and were so kind and eager to help wherever they could!
They also brought an awesome lunch of chicken and turkey sandwiches with fresh oranges for everyone to enjoy. Amazing neighbor, Pastor Tom, spent time talking to and connecting with our neighbors, and Pam even brought her autoharp and treated everyone to some live music! 🎶
Days like this are about so much more than laundry. They’re about building relationships, sharing resources, breaking bread, and reminding our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and loved.

August 12th at Brax Laundry in Estacada was a sweet reminder of what community looks like when people show up for one another.
We were able to serve 17 awesome neighbors and help with 12 loads of laundry.
We were joined by th amazing Debra and Link, our fabulous Brigham’s family, who came ready to love on our neighbors and lend a hand. They brought and served a delicious meal of white chicken chili and birthday cake, making the day feel extra special! 🎂
They also brought sack lunches provided by their church, the LDS Church of Estacada, giving our neighbors a little extra to take with them.
We are so grateful for families, churches, and community members who continue to step up and help make these laundry days about so much more than clean clothes. Every meal, every conversation, every load, and every act of kindness matters. This is what happens when a community comes together!

It was another busy and beautiful day of serving our neighbors at Brax Laundry - Oregon City!! We had 50 fabulous neighbors join us, with 54 loads of laundry washed and dried. That's 13 small, 32 medium, and 9 large loads.
With the heat hanging around, we kept everyone fueled and refreshed with pizza and ice-cold water. And then came a surprise that absolutely made everyone’s day: someone (still a mystery!) brought popsicles! 🍧☀️ We may not know who our mystery popsicle hero is, but we know they brought a whole lot of smiles!
The Young Men’s Service League joined us to lend a hand, and we had lots of wonderful neighbors helping clean, set up, and keep things running smoothly. Our amazing Executive Director, Brandi, was also on site helping wherever she was needed.
Just another reminder that LoveOne Community is never doing this work alone. It takes neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers showing up, and a whole community coming together. And we are so grateful for every single person who makes these days possible!!

LoveOne Community is making a small change to our laundry event schedule!
Starting September 1st, we will no longer be hosting laundry events, both urban and rural, in the 5th week of any month.
This change will help our team recharge, regroup, and make sure we can continue showing up for our neighbors with the same care, energy, and love you’ve come to expect from us.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding! We’ll see you at our regularly scheduled laundry events throughout the rest of the month. 🧺✨

One of our program participants is working super hard to maintain steady employment while navigating houselessness and working toward stable housing. Transportation is a significant barrier right now, and having a reliable bike would make a huge difference. A bike would help them get to and from work, medical appointments, and the support services they need.

ASK: We’re looking for a reliable adult bike in good working condition, along with a new adult-size bike helmet. 🚲 + ⛑

If you have a bike to donate or would like to help purchase a new helmet, please message us, comment below, or email us at [email protected]. Thank you for continuing to show up for our neighbors in such practical and meaningful ways, y'all are rad humans! ❤

PS: If we receive more than one bike, we will make sure each one finds a good home with another program participant.

Our August 10th laundry outreach at Milwaukie Laundry was another wonderful day of neighbors, community, and connection! Together, we served 24 awesome community members and completed 45 loads of laundry, and we had an incredible crew helping make it happen!
A huge thank you to the incredible folks from the Rotary Club of Milwaukie, Oregon for showing up with pizza and food, serving hygiene kits, and even helping keep those washers and dryers running by putting quarters in the machines. Your generosity makes a real difference!
Our marvelous Deputy Director, Glen, was also there lending a hand and getting machines started, while the amazing Laurie absolutely rocked the hygiene kit station.
It takes a whole community to make outreach like this possible, and we are so grateful for every person who shows up, serves, and reminds our neighbors that they are cared for. ❤️🧺
24 neighbors served. 45 loads washed. A whole lot of community love!!
That's what we are all about!
