What a fun 5k! This morning we thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Milwaukie Dogwood Dash 5k where proceeds went to support LoveOne and the Corporal Diffie Fund. Many thanks to Sondra for dreaming up the idea and making it happen, along with the support and participation of Milwaukie Police Department milwaukiepolice and City of Milwaukie!

We’re so thankful for this week’s beautiful weather and the opportunities it brings to connect with our community! ☀️ 🩷

Our LoveOne outreach teams have been out in the community, checking in with our unhoused neighbors, building relationships, and connecting people with resources and support. Sometimes, making a difference starts with something as simple as showing up, taking the time to listen, and reminding someone that they matter.
Outreach is about more than providing resources. It’s about building trust, creating connections, and meeting people where they are with compassion, dignity, and understanding. Every conversation is an opportunity to strengthen relationships and let our neighbors know they aren’t forgotten.
We’re so grateful for our dedicated outreach teams and the opportunity to continue showing up for our community, one connection at a time.

We had a wonderful time at Milwaukie Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 4th, where our Executive Director, Brandi, and Deputy Director, Glen, had the amazing opportunity to speak about the work we’re doing in our community.

We’re incredibly grateful for Milwaukie Lutheran and their continued partnership and support of LoveOne. It means so much to have people in our community who believe in this work and continue to show up alongside us. 🩷

Our October 1st event at Cedars Laundromat in Sandy was a cozy one! We served 27 rad neighbors and helped with 23 loads of laundry while sharing a warm meal of creamy potato soup with bacon and cheese, plus rolls. 🥔🥓🧀
We were also joined by th amazing Amy from AntFarm, and our great friend, K. Moody from Sandy Compliance, was back with us again! Officer Moody is always such a fun person to have around, and it’s clear how much he genuinely cares about the Sandy community and the people we serve.
Good food, good conversations, and good people making a difference together!

The City of Milwaukie Dogwood Dash is THIS SATURDAY, October 10th! 👟🏅

The Milwaukie-Portland Elks Club #142 is sponsoring this event, which benefits LoveOne Community and the Corporal Diffie Veterans Fund. Community partners are donating prizes, volunteering for race support, bringing treats, and more.
It's going to be a lot of fun for two great causes!!

We need to send a huge thank-you to our incredible young friends, Annabelle and her best friend, Leneca!

These two have made their lemonade stand a beloved Oregon City Porchfest tradition, and this year they went above and beyond by donating half of their proceeds to LoveOne, with the other half going to Northwest Dog Rescue.

We are so inspired by these girls and their big hearts. Thank you, Annabelle and Leneca, for choosing to share your kindness with our community! 🩷🍋
