Our Cedars Laundromat event in Sandy was a wonderful day of connection, support, and service. We had the privilege of serving 22 community members while helping wash 34 loads of laundry, including 6 small loads, 22 medium loads, and 6 large loads.
Guests enjoyed a hearty meal of spaghetti and meatballs, along with cookies and chips, creating an opportunity for connections while essential laundry needs were met. In addition to laundry services, we were able to distribute extra hygiene kits and clothing to neighbors, helping provide additional support to those in need.
We were also grateful for a visit from our friendly neighborhood Compliance Officer, K. Moody from Sandy Compliance, whose presence reflects the strong community partnerships that help make these events successful.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and compassion to make this day possible. Together, we continue to create welcoming spaces where neighbors can access essential services and experience the care of their community every Thursday at Cedars Laundromat in Sandy!

Our May 27th laundry event at Brax Laundry in Estacada was another wonderful day of serving our community. We had the opportunity to assist 25 neighbors with washing and drying 26 loads of laundry, including 4 small loads, 7 medium loads, and 15 large loads.
A huge thank you to the amazing folks from the Estacada LDS Church for providing a delicious lunch of pulled pork, macaroni salad, and brownies. They also brought to-go lunches to distribute, ensuring participants had something to take with them after the event. Their generosity and care made a meaningful impact on everyone we served.
We were also grateful for the help of Deborah, Brigham's phenomenal wife, who spent the day volunteering and serving alongside our team. Volunteers like Deborah help create the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that makes these events so special! 💕
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and compassion. Together, we continue to meet practical needs while building connections and strengthening our community!

We had a great time at a recent community BBQ hosted by Parrott Creek!!
Pictured (right to left) are our Director of Outreach & Partnerships, Glen Suchanek, Deflection Program Manager Linda McNamara, and Deflection Specialists Mel Hiestand and Erick Arteaga. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to connect with community partners, strengthen relationships, and share resources that support our neighbors. We are so lucky to have ya'll in our corner!

Our May 26th free laundry event at Brax Laundry - Molalla was a wonderful day of laundry, connection, and community support. We served 45 neighbors and helped complete a whopping 51 loads of laundry, ensuring our neighbors had access to clean clothes and a welcoming place to gather.
It was also Pizza Day at Brax Laundry, which is always a favorite! Neighbors and volunteers enjoyed sharing a meal together while building relationships and strengthening community connections.
We were also grateful to welcome the amazing Anna from Cascade AIDS Project, who was on-site providing testing services and valuable health resources to those in attendance. Partnerships like these help us connect people with important support and care beyond their immediate needs.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, partnered with us, and helped make the day a success. Together, we continue creating spaces where dignity, support, and community thrive. 🍕🧺💕

Brax Laundry - Oregon City was filled with sunshine, community, and lots of support on the afternoon of May 27th. Throughout the day, we served 38 neighbors and helped wash and dry 8 small, 18 medium, and 15 large loads of laundry.
We were blessed by the generous volunteers from the Oregon City Church of the Nazarene, who provided a delicious lunch of Alfredo pasta, salad, and brownies. Their kindness helped make the day extra special for everyone who attended!
With support from the Oregon Department of Human Services and so many other volunteers, we felt incredibly encouraged and cared for. The beautiful weather, wonderful conversations, and even a few friendly animal visitors made for a memorable day of connection and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success!
