HOEC is a 501(c)3 non-profit offering horticultural education, an organic fruit share CSA program, and opportunities for healthy inter-generational community connection. The arboretum was designed over 40 years ago, with the intention of preserving and showcasing heirloom fruit varieties while promoting organic methods for growing fruit at home. Today, this special gathering place is a humming hive of community-centered educational opportunity and hub for distribution of fresh, local, organically grown fruit. We are seeking a string trimmer!

We’re looking for someone with experience using a gas-powered string trimmer for a part-time, short-term contracted position Nov-Dec at the HOEC Community Orchard.

🛠️ We supply the tools
✅ Previous string-trimming experience is required
📆 Must be available Saturdays or Tuesdays

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has the experience to get the job done efficiently and safely.

Come celebrate the beautiful fall season with us on October 24th!

Enjoy a day at the orchard featuring fun, fresh-pressed c***r, end of season plant sale, apples pears and quince for sale, plus pints of small batch vanilla ice cream from St Francis to accompany your homemade baked desserts.
