Break a leg to the cast and crew of Theatre 7's Sister Act. Happy Opening weekend!

Today's the day! Sister Act - The Musical opens tonight at the Decatur Civic Center.

After disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she hides in a convent and helps her fellow nuns find their voices as she rediscovers her own . This feel-good comedy smash based on the hit movie will leave you rejoicing! 🪩🙏

Fun fact: While the movie "Sister Act" is set in the '90s in Reno and San Francisco, the musical adaptation is set in the 1970s in Philadelphia and celebrates all things disco, soul, and cheese steak! It also has an all original score written by Tony winner Alan Menken.

Performances are May 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31 at the Decatur Civic Center. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinees are at 2 pm.

We have some spots open in the early session but the later session is full.

We are hosting an audition workshop for Seussical on June 13 at Richland Community College. There will be two sessions offered with a max of 15 per session. Both sessions will include the same information.

This is a great opportunity to meet the creative team, hear the music, learn some choreography, and get some tips on auditioning.

Look what's coming up next month! We can't wait to see everyone!
Come to Seussical auditions, where it doesn't matter how old you are or if you've ever been onstage.

We will have two nights of auditions followed by a night of callbacks. If you are unable to attend in person, message us, and we will happily accept a video audition. You only need to attend one night of auditions. Callbacks will be by invitation only.

What do I have to do to audition? Prepare 30 seconds of a song that shows off your voice and a memorized monologue, poem, or nursery rhyme, if you are one of our littlest performers. We will teach a short choreography segment and do a little reading from the script at auditions.
