Welcome to our historical town of Ordway located in SE Colorado; a small town off the beaten path at the Junction of Highway 96 and Highway 71. Ordway was founded in early 1890; it is the county seat of Crowley County, Colorado, and home of the Crowley County Chargers. Our Mission Statement:

se of community and to provide to its citizens not only the necessary basic services but also to provide programs, amenities, and services which enhance public safety, general well-being and quality of life. We offer a range of entertainment all year round: football games, car shows, and Crowley County Days, The two lakes just a short distance outside of town. Lake Henry and Lake Meredith ( about 3 miles east out of town on Highway 96 ) provided for boating, wind sailing, fishing, with free camping and beaches to enjoy . We also have a reservoir for all those fishing stories you will telling your friends of how " The Big One" got away. We have 2 taverns, full-size grocery store with attached Liquor Store, Gas Stations, Drug Store/ Medical Supply Store, Family Dollar, an Historic Hotel with very charming rooms, vibrant churches, hardware store ( with appliances and kitchen cabinet business ), schools K-12, a beautiful library, car sales and car parts businesses, and a newspaper office to name a few. These offer a great selection for your daily needs. A spray park cools on HOT summer days located in the South Park, new playground equipment for the youngsters in the North Park ( Conestoga Park ) , with exercise equipment for anyone who would like to keep in shape, with a sidewalk that completely wraps around the park for those who would like put their walking shoes to good use.. Ordway is also the place to stop and relax when you're cycling across America on the TransAmerica Bicycle Trail. We've been welcoming them since they were established in 1973 ( then named as the Bikercentennial ). Riders can enjoy our quiet little town as their home away from home.
