One of six alternative views for this year's RIT Big Shot. We knew that panorama photography isn’t for everyone, so we wanted to create many lasting images of the stadium for Bills fans.

RIT The Big Shot and the RIT College of Art and Design demonstrated how one photo can be a powerful experience.

"When people see the photo online or in the new stadium, they can point to where they stood or where they pointed their flashlight to help create the image. It’s an incredible memory for everyone involved,” said Eric Kunsman, assistant professor at RIT/NTID.

Beyond the stunning final panoramic, additional images were captured to ensure every inch of the stadium was documented for this historic experience.

We pulled it off!!!

Wait until you see the final piece with better stitching from more control points and the alternative views.

Approximately 6,500 volunteers painted with light for RIT The Big Shot's first panoramic! 24 images from 24 cameras, coordinated by RIT College of Art and Design faculty and students, made up the 360-degree photograph.

The Big Shot helped the Buffalo Bills commemorate their farewell season in their current home of Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. The 52-year-old venue — home to countless core memories of generations of football fans — is in its final year of operational existence, with a new, neighboring stadium set to open in 2026.

Behind-the-scenes - Day 13

Tomorrow is Big Shot No. 37 at Highmark Stadium, and we continue to show behind-the-scenes images each day leading up to the event.

We hope our local Target being sold out of flashlights is a good omen for tomorrow!

Today was all about packing three trucks, a trailer, and who knows what else with equipment and everything needed to organize over 11,000 people for a single photograph logistically.

It has been an incredible feat to organize their event in under 3 months, but here we are. The RIT Big Shot Crew would like to thank every department and office at RIT and the Buffalo Bills for having a touch point to get us to where we are today. There are literally hundreds of people, and we cannot go down a list because we will miss someone.

 We hope everybody in attendance enjoys the big shot magic, and you will want to join us for future photos.

It has been fun sharing the behind-the-scenes with you all, but tomorrow, we will most likely be too exhausted to post. Please watch the rit.edu/BigShot website around 11 PM for the photo release.

Behind-the-scenes - Day 12

There are 2 days until Big Shot No. 37 at Highmark Stadium, and we continue to show behind-the-scenes images each day leading up to the event.

How will we organize everybody into the lightning zones since the free tickets were just general admission?

Why, of course, we will pass out paper tickets for each of the different sections of the stadium to distribute the lighting teams evenly. Once individuals walk through the gate, they will be given a ticket and a flashlight.

We have interpreters in sections 126 to 132, so if you need interpreting services, please ensure you look for signage to get to the correct table for tickets for those sections.

Please keep your paper ticket because on the back of it, you can find a QR code and the websites to view the image on Saturday evening and purchase prints after October 20th. You can also find a QR code and the website link for the CPA gallery shop. If you were to buy one of the blue commemorative T-shirts, you will see people wearing them on Saturday. Our crew has a special black version.

We highly recommend bringing your own flashlight as a backup, just in case we run out of the 6,000 flashlights, because 11,000 tickets have been distributed.

Remember to wear dark clothing and dress for the weather.
