📚💙 Happy National Friends of Libraries Week! 💙📚

We are so grateful for our amazing community and our wonderful band of volunteers who make everything we do possible! 🥰

Thanks to your support, the Friends of the Orchard Park Public Library help make so many wonderful things happen throughout the year, including:

✨ Supporting children’s and teen programs like paint night & Winnies 100th birthday🏡 Helping purchase furniture and equipment to enhance our library 🎓 Awarding a scholarship to support a local student’s educational journey

And that’s just some of the ways we give back! ❤️ Every dollar we earn through book sales, fundraisers, memberships, and donations goes right back into our library and its programs, benefiting our entire community.

To our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, book lovers, and everyone who supports us — THANK YOU! You are the heart of the Friends, and we couldn’t do it without you. 💙

📖 Celebrate the freedom to read during Banned Books Week!

The Friends of Orchard Park Public Library invite you to discover, discuss, and celebrate books that have been challenged or banned. These stories give us the opportunity to explore different perspectives, ask questions, and connect with experiences beyond our own. Join us in supporting the freedom to read and keeping our community’s library a place where everyone can find a story that speaks to them. 📖

In updating our membership form (if you're not a member yet, join the club! Here is the link - https://friendsofoplibrary.org/membership-form/ ) we realized yet again the AMAZING work our library staff gets up to each year. In 2025 alone, they offered 474 programs to more than 18,000 participants, and had over 132,000 visitors. Consider joining and becoming a member. The money raised goes right back into the library to continue amazing programs with the amazing staff.

An Ode to Our Library Crew

Robots bounced and beeped, "Let's play!"
Hair clips sparkled all the way.
Storytime brought laughs and cheers,
Book clubs chatted for hours (and maybe years!).

From glitter storms to tales well told,
You make every visit pure gold.
So here's a cheer, loud and hearty—
Thanks for making the library the best place to party!

Join online now! Membership Application may also be downloaded and submitted with payment in person at the Orchard Park Public Library or mailed to us.
