Established in 2009, Chestnut Ridge Conservancy is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization established to support the Erie County Parks Department with preservation and restoration efforts in Chestnut Ridge Park. As one of the most beautiful parks county parks in the United States, it is home to a place where fond memories have been, and will be, made for five generations and counting of Western

New Yorkers. Your contribution and participation with the Conservancy will be used to restore historic areas of the park (like the 100 Steps), develop a Visitor's Information Center, and increase access to some of the lesser-known features of Western New York's natural wonder.

Might be a little early to post this, but the earlier the better some times. It's going to be a really rock and roll evening with an awesome Beatles cover band. Tell all your friends. All proceeds support Chestnut Ridge Park preservation and restoration efforts. Of course we'll have lots of good food, beer, wine, crafts for the kids and a great musical entertainment event. Dress in your favorite costume or come as you wish.

Despite the cloudy skys, the Science and Astronomy night at Chestnut Ridge Park, Saturday evening was a success and an excellent evening for viewing the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. Also lots of science information table sets, indoor planetarium, outdoor rocket launches, lectures, expert telescope advice and viewings from Buffalo Astronomical Association associates and much more. Great attendance as well. Thank you Erie County Parks, Recreation & Forestry for hosting the really cool event!

Hat's off to all our volunteers who helped accomplish four projects for the CRC at Chestnut Ridge Park yesterday. We had an incredible team from M & T bank... 24 volunteers joining us in doing trail maintenance, a bog bridge installation, tennis court wind screens roll down and special tree care directed by Erie County Forester Josh Konovitz. Working with Erie County Parks Department, which provided wood chips, we were also able to do necessary trail maintenance in some much needed spots. Thanks again to all who participated!
