It's been a tough year, finding candidates for our Honorary Mayor Fun Fundraising campaign was difficult. Business owners need to recover from the pandemic and we didn't want to put any further stress on anyone... but we didn't want the Honorary Mayor program to fall by the wayside either!
Last years candidates worked so hard... so we decided it was a perfect year to have a Runner Up Runoff!
It'll be an easy, no stress campaign! It's still $1 per vote benefitting the candidates individual charities (more information on them coming soon!) and the Orangevale Chamber of Commerce. We are selling raffle tickets for $1 each for some amazing prizes at all of our events... Venmo is also welcome! (Details below)

Who's our next Orangevale Junior Honorary Mayor?!

Do you know someone who'd be great, and have questions? We have answers!

WHO? Any student from the graduating class of 2022 or 2023, residing in Orangevale, CA, who has reliable transportation and the desire to make a difference can apply to run for Orangevale Junior Honorary Mayor!

WHAT? A fun, good natured fundraising event where each candidate raises funds for the Orangevale Chamber of Commerce and the charity of their choice. Every $1.00 raised equals a vote and the total raised amount is split 50/50 between the chamber and the charity. It's the only Mayor Race that votes are supposed to be bought!

WHEN? The campaign starts on June 1st and fundraising continues through October 31st. The winner will commit to act as Junior Mayor from November 1st, 2021 through October 31st, 2022 and will need to be local to attend events.

WHERE? The fundraising events are held in Orangevale, CA and can involve any Chamber of Commerce members or other businesses within the Orangevale area.

WHY? Participating in the Junior Mayor race supports and strengthens a multitude of personal skills and benefits!

* Community Service Credits for high school and college requirements regardless of whether or not the candidate wins.

* Wholesome Community Participation and Social Skills

* Personal Accomplishment, Confidence and Independence

* Fundraising, Collaboration and Organization

* Responsibility and Commitment
