🚨 Orangevale Community – We Need Your Help 🚨
Last night, around 9:30 PM on July 5, someone (or a group of people) intentionally set one of our porta potties on fire and was also lighting fireworks on the baseball fields at Louis Pasteur Middle School.
The fire didn't stop at the porta potty. Part of one of our dugouts was also burned and damaged, creating even more repairs that our league will now have to make.
We are asking for our community's help. If you saw anything, have security camera footage from the area, or have any information that could help the police or fire department identify those responsible, please contact us or local law enforcement. Even the smallest piece of information could make a difference.
Orangevale Pony Baseball is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization. We dedicate countless hours to maintaining these fields, so hundreds of local kids have a safe, clean place to play the game they love.
Sadly, this is now the fourth porta potty that has been destroyed by vandals. Because this has happened multiple times, our porta potty provider no longer covers these losses. That means our league is now responsible for more than $3,000 in replacement costs—money that should be going toward our players, field improvements, and equipment. Now, we also have to repair the damage to our dugout.
If this was your child or someone you know, we are asking you to please do the right thing. Kids make mistakes, but taking responsibility for those mistakes matters. We would much rather work together to make this right than continue seeing our community facilities destroyed.
To our Orangevale community, we need your help. Please share this post. Someone knows something. Together, we can help hold those responsible accountable and prevent this from happening again.
Our fields are more than just baseball fields—they're where friendships are made, confidence is built, and memories are created. Please help us protect them for the hundreds of children and families who call Orangevale Pony Baseball home.
