Our Story
Spellbinders Club #6065 was chartered December 1, 1985. It was originally formed from the Sunrise Center Toastmasters club to accommodate members who had become Competent Communicators (CTM) when it required completion of 15 speeches to achieve the CTM. Members needed more time to complete longer speeches to achieve the next level of ATM and DTM.
Spellbinders has moved around a bit since it started. They held meetings at fellow member’s homes to several restaurants in the area. Finally they settled at where we meet today, Denny’s on Greenback Lane in Orangevale.
Originally a club for advanced members looking to accomplish more, the club evolved to one that was open to anyone looking to develop effective communication and leadership skills through the educational programs with Toastmasters, International.
